Metformin can be broken look it up on google. I am only taking 1/6 the meds now and my blood sugar is always around 100 or lower. It's been over two weeks i am back to normal foods. I am so glad i have done this I am around 30 pounds less now. -
Hi everyone just got banded Monday and i am having the same symptoms. Gas X and walking is by far the best. I think my sleeping short time frames is due to my apnea I am swallowing air which then cramps me up, again walk walk walk. Does anyone know when it's safe to start light lifting like l laundry baskets etc?

My doctor had the same orders for me stay hydrated until my first office visit is most important. I am drinking diet green tea and crystal light mostly and then for sustenance i am drinking chicken broth. Today is day two post op, my surgery was Monday with a few complications. Hunger is not an issue for me the gas pain is, walking around is the best relief so far, gas x strips help a little. I just pray the worst part is over it feels like a cross between 1000 sit-ups and a broken rib. I just keep telling myself the worst part is over. The good news is I am swallowing real good, keeping fluids down well so that part pleases me. -

Hello everyone well it's over, I am back home now resting in bed and walk around my place by far the gas is the biggest problem but walking to seems to help a lot. now that the gas its subsiding a little bit I can feel the port and it cuts now. If anybody is wondering this reminds me of doing way too many sit ups then a couple days after that. so far sipping broth and clear liquids is plenty. Take care everyone I'll try to update later today, I hope everyone is doing well.God bless. -

Hello everybody sorry I've not been on in a while. I work for the phone company and with hurricane Sandy I've been working 12 hour days 6 days a week even here in Dallas. The long hours do have 1 big advantage keeps my mind off the surgery coming up I have been a liquid diet for 2 weeks 800 calories a day today I got to cheat with the doctor's permission since it was Thanksgiving but I really didn't eat all that much my stomach is shrunk. I only ate proteins no sugars. My work let me have time off, my surgery is Monday morning, I am both excited and nervous at the same time. I took the whole week off for vacation, I am hoping that I won't need to have the whole week though. Even though I'm in management they pay me overtime for these long hours so it is paying for Christmas. Everyone please keep me in your prayers and I'll keep everybody updated after surgery Monday night or Tuesday morning. God bless and happy Thanksgiving. -

Well day two of fourteen liquid only. When this is over I may never drink a shake again. I am allowed three shakes a day with skim milk and 1 cup of broth to cut sweetness lol dosen't work that well. Get scoped this Friday and meet anesthesiologist then the 25th is dday. I have talked to several Co workers that have had this and are doing great they really cheered me up and made me feel i made the right choice. 1 friend lost 175 pounds which is kind of my goal and he gave me a lot of pointers. Thank God for that. For the first time in a while I really feel like I am making the right choice and I am very excited now. I was looking at pictures of myself back in the day and I can't wait to look like that again come on 180. Good luck to us all I'm praying for everyone! -

It seems like forever since I started my journey. I bet i changed my mind 100 times this year but here it comes November 26th, I start only liquids on the 12th, that has me most nervous! But with all it took to get here you can bet I'll go through with it. But Thanksgiving will be cruel, all I think I'll do is remember beside myself its for my're grand baby so I can play with her not to mention be alive to watch her grow. Please pray for me and wish me luck add I do for you all!
