lee72 replied to Domika03's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i think i had a "stuck" yesterday, of all days the first fill post surgery. it just felt like something was just stuck there in my throat and stomache entrance, hahaha. but i am so glad that i havent had a PB, i would probably be saying YUCK!YUCK! too. -
you should be so proud of yourself. don't give up the journey you have started does have it's ups and downs but beleive me it will all be worth it. because you are worth it, your health is worth it, and your family is worth you winning this battle!!! stay focus, stay strong, and stay in touch with this community it's so awesome!!!

my doctor actually said i was starving myself and i had stopped my metabolism. also i have not been excirsing, how about you? maybe if you write down what you are eating you'll establish a better info to make changes to help you drop the weight. i forgot about the weight, because i was almost going to start buying size 22 (2x) and now i fit into size 16 (L) comfortably. sometimes weight is not all that, have you notice any changes in your clothing size? just saying, don't get discouraged

hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I am 40yrs young, married, have a precious 5yr young son, am a nurse, but my main occupation is my son. i had looked into the lapband about a yr and a half ago, back then my insurance absolutely didn't covered the procedure. i hadn't looked into this even though we had changed insurances. nice surprise when i looked and found out that this new insurance would cover!!! yeah, my journey began August 2012. Dr. Carcamo and his staff at true results in san antonio helped me all the way into Oct 19,2012, my surgery day. i started at 226lbs, with the pre op and now liquid diet i am now 198lbs. first time in YEARS since i've been out of the 200's. for now i wouuld like to encourage everyone to keep following your doctor's advice because only patience, time, and hard work will get us through this journey. Oct 2012 bandsters ROCK!!!!!

hi welcome aboard! it's going to be fun and lots of hard work though, but everything well woryh it!!! good to here from a fellow texan

you know what, my mind wanted to play tricks with me about the risks. but i played back...no you will not die. i have a 5 year old son who i explained about the surgery and mind you he does not know much about dieing, but i expaining that i was going to have a booboo on my tummy but that the doctor was going to help me get better soon. to this he answered mommy so your tummy will get smaller and smaller and you can play with me and you won't have a hard time getting up from the floor? this booboo story might not apply to your 13 yr old son but, i think if you mention the pros to your son he will bettter understand and will look forward to when you come home for recovery. i found that boys can be nuturing to their mommies too. now adays, surgeries are not what they used to be...starting with the huge inscions now they are so small. this soon will pass. stay strong and i will keep you in my prayers. hope to see you on the other side- post op

i haven't thought about it-rewarding myself for developing good habits...but pre op i did just that all i mean all the time. not now, crazy right? i don't know if a light bulb went off in my brain but i am so glad it did. i didn't have a hard time last night with all the goodies around either. i was walking around with a very large watered down iced tea and lots of very shaved ice yummy none the less congratulations for not giving in, it takes work at what we are doing...life changing

sorry i just responded, oh and yes it comes in pills or stripes and there is also a brand called bean-o works the same. i just mentioned gas-x because that's the one that i used and it worked great! i hope you day went better than you expected
-
they are little stripes that disolve on your tongue, like listerine strips or breathe freshners. you can find them at walmart, walgreens, ect over the counter. they help with getting rid of gas
-
i hope you have your gas-x with you. yes this will be over. especially since you are up and about. walking around will help you get rid of the excess gas. sending you a big hug and praying super natural strength for you.
-
that's so awsome, i am very excited to hear from you. you have a true determination. getting rid of your scale is a great thing. you are right a number is not what should define us anyway. i hope to keep in touch. happy trails!!!
