Believe it or not but when someone decides to go under the knife( at least me), they do research it and do their homework before getting an expensive band inside them. It is a life changing experience and you have to be ready for it especially when you pay for it like I did from my own savings. So yes I am following the rules . The reason I don't come on here so much is precisely for this reason. A lot of people just assume they are right because they lost weight quicker, instead of remembering what it was like when they couldn't even lose an ounce . End of rant

Hi all , really need good advice. Got my third fill and now on 6 cc. Can only hold water and clear soup and even that takes a few min to go down . Will it get better in the morning or do I get a little unfilled?

Hey, I just read your post and was relieved to know I am not the only one . I was banded in Sept last year and have lost 1 lb . Lol! Sounds miserable I know but I can actually feel a little more active and clothes fit a little better. It may just be my imagination to make myself feel better. But I wont ask you what and how much you eat . I'll just say HANG IN THERE, I am sure we will eventually get there. You have been through too much to lose hope. Hang on to it , you never know hope may be the missing component for you and me xxxx

Had to get an un fill , had .6 ml taken out. Almost died as my systems started shutting off because of dehydration . Had to travel 2 hours to find the nearest nurse to do it , and it was snowing like hell . Came home and ate like a piggy

OMG! My periods started just after the full. That's probably what happened. Thank you for the advice, it's such a blessing to be on this forum. Am in pain but will wait it put a bit x

My first fill ended in me gaining 3 pounds do this is the second one . Fingers crossed I'll see some weight loss . Feeling so discouraged .

Thank you ladies, all of you give me hope . I always thought the band would restrict my appetite , which has been my only problem with weight gain. I guess that was what I was looking for . Need to start working at it myself now I guess

I actually gained weight after my first fill and can still eat normal portion foods. I was banded on the 18 Sept and had my first fill 26 Oct. feeling horrible about the weight gain

Thank you, all of you for posting. I got on the scales today and had gained 2 pounds. Stood there crying . My first fill was 26 Oct and thought at least some weight would shift but never thought I would gain any. Maybe I need to wait for my second fill to see any loss

Hi all, feeling so down. I am a month and half post surgery and have not lost a single pound . Eating 3 meals a day after my first full and not snacking inbetween but still no loss . Feeling so low. Is this normal ?

That's what I thought. Maybe another fill but surely it should start coming off slowly because of the change. Let's see my next appointment is on the 14th this month. Fingers crossed

OMG! I have had my first fill a week ago and had my first real stuck episode yesterday . Was so painful and only went after I threw up

I am still taking the powder form and was also told that I could have the tablets now as I am almost 2 month post op. I am too scared to take them unless they get stuck

I had the same feeling while on the pre op diet. I did cheat and pig out one day and that actually helped. I still lost the weight and the surgery went fine so don't feel down , everything works out eventually

I had my first fill last week. After the fill I can still eat normal portions. The only difference is some things get stuck, which is to be expected , but once they dislodge , I can carry on eating . Does that mean I am full and should stop or that food got stuck and dislodged and I can carry on eating. Don't want to stretch the band too much and defeat it's purpose so really confused

Just a nice pair of jeans and that's the one thing I have never worn. I was always too fat for it. I wear skirts and my husband says I look like and old school teacher. How sad is that

I can't drink shakes , as they make me puky. Is there one that I can mix with fruit yoghurt or something . Really need to start losing some weight. Had my first full yesterday and have 4ml in now . Still feel like I can eat a lot . Hellllpppp !!!

I think I need to mix it with yoghurt too . Will give it a try
