My big fear is vomiting! I think I have Emetophobia.

I'm a nurse too. I know complications happen, but I've been a nurse almost 30 years and the majority of the time surgeries go as planned.

Well I have started my pre-op diet. My surgeon restricts us to 30 gm carbs. So we don't have to do just liquids. So far am very hungary. But my problem with past diets wasn't that I couldn't follow them, I just couldn't follow them long enough. Even after I lost 70 lbs I couldn't stop myself from gaining it back to 10.

Mine is the 18th in Jacksonville Fl I start my diet next week!

Hi, my name is Annette, I'm from Florida, I've been a RN for 28 years mostly in pediatrics, now I'm a school nurse(Love it!) I am self pay for the band(my insurance co. doesn't cover weight loss surgery at all!!) and surgery is 12/18/2012. I've had 13 knee surgeries (over 30 years) I am a widow with 1 son (24) who lives with me. I enjoy going to Jaguar games even though we're in last place, also love dogs, kids and going to the movies.

I have 4 wks 3 days. I really can't weight. I am self pay also. I have a Psychitrist who when I complained about gaining weight & I wanted a lapband, told me I just needed to eat less. I saw him Monday and told him I was having the lapband on 12/18, he told me I'm not fat enough for the band and I needed to exercise and eat better.

Well, i haven't even had the surgery yet, so I was wondering how many carbs for the pre-op diet.

I'm a school nurse, so I will be off then too. I don't care about Christmas dinner either. If I could have done it sooner I would have, but I needed to wait until winter break.

Well my Band is Dec. 18. I'm not nervous at all. I'm so looking forward to this.

How many carbs?
