Mellisa, First I am glad you are feeling better. Your husband means well but he is a guy and does not know how to fix your situation. In my experience....they feel like they need to fix things and when they can't, they say something stupid and makes matters worse. You gotta love them! As for your daughter, I would have over reacted too! I am glad you are going to talk because it sounds like you have a good relationship with her, especially that she told you! You never want her to lose confidence in you. I have not gotten to that point yet but I would want my daughter to tell me (even if it is something I do not want to hear). You are very lucky to have that kind of communication and open-ness with her especially going into the teenage years. You are going to have to just try to guide her from here. I am sure you want to lock her up for the next 10 years like I do!!! LOL Good Luck! Metal

How about house things that you normally would not buy....new really nice sheets or that thing that would look perfect in your house but would not go and buy (because we buy for everyone else). Expensive make up...nice perfume...have a ball!

You were always attractive....It is the fact that you feel it again that draws the attention!!! So much of this is the way we feel about ourselves! Good for you, you should date and have fun....you worked hard for this, you might as well enjoy it!!!!!

I am afraid to get on the scale.....lots of junk over Christmas! What a slippery slope, one bad choice leads to another! Today....I will stay on plan! I did get lots of compliments from family members who have not seen me since the summer. My MIL on the other hand only said "that outfit is slimming"......not the fact that I have lost 61 lbs!!!! If I could have bought an outfit that would make me look 60 lbs thinner...I would have! She will just not give a good compliment, usually back handed ones! Oh well its her issue, not mine! NSV....new clothes for Christmas without an X anywhere. I still look at them and think....thats not going to fit and then I am shocked when it does. It actually brought tears to my eyes! There used to be a thread called "What was your last straw" It had kind of the same info.... My last straw was the doc saying you are pre-diabetic! I went to a seminar, left thinking i do not need surgery, I can so this myself and came back 3 months with an extra 10 lbs! It has been the best decision I have ever made!!!!

I have given up on that goal....now I just want to not look so bad naked!!LOL You have done a great job with your weight loss. I know that if I try harder I could lose faster but I am losing steady and since I have not told anyone about the surgery, nobody is questioning it! If I lost too fast, I know the nosy people would be asking! I will start to kick up the exercise after the holidays....

Hello MandyJo......I think it is harder now but I have also not followed all the bandster rules. I know that if I work harder I will get to goal quicker but I still find it hard to get in the water and exercise. Your weight loss has been great....keep up the good work. Mellisa and jsrico....we want pictures! Wenjea.....happy belated birthday.....I am jealous because I am no where near done and I am having 2 parties this weekend....arrrgh! Maureen

Chris.....I am so with you! Instead of torture we could just be-head them on TV and all sit around and cheer like they do!!! I am sorry but we are at war, it seems that people forget. I just visited the 911 memorial and even I had forgotten (I did not think I had) but when you get to that hallowed ground and see all the pictures and the faces....its horrific all over again. It is sooo powerful to stand there and feel all of the strength of this nation....the good strength, the 30,000 volunteers who came to help and the people that got turned away because there were too many volunteers. The bucket brigades and the people who gave up their lives to try to help others.....that is what we are fighting for over there to keep this country safe from those people who hate us and want to break that spirit. After 911 we saw what makes this country great and now we forget and want to punish our troops for doing their jobs!! I am sorry...I need to stop! I am not a writer but I think you get my point!
