Rainer, I love the saying "Motherhood, where the days are long and the years are fast". I remember having days like that too but now that they are growing (18,15,12) I wish I could go back and have a bad day with my 3 year olds!!!! Just remember that even these crazy days are to be cherished even if they do not feel like it at the time. Your girls are adorable! You will get into a groove and this will pass. Every mom has those "I want to pull my hair out days"! Coloring is good for them and you....sit down and color. It always relaxed me! Good Luck!

Go Patriots! If they were actually cheating, why have you not heard any other coaches complain??? It is because they all do it...they all film from the sidelines, we were just the scapegoat. We made Eric Mangini and the Jets stop filming last year but we did not blow it out of proportion, we just told him to stop. Simple.

Sorry Ted...that was a bath room joke about the politician in the airport mens room....never mind it was a bad one anyway!!!! Good luck with the band....It is all worth it. I am down 61 lbs and feel like I have my life back already! I have NSV's (non scale victories) everyday. From tying my shoes to running up the stairs to buying clothes in the regular dept. It all feels great. Good luck and keep us posted on your surgery. This site has so much information, it is a great place to hang out!

Yay for you Manatee!!! You look awesome! I had a shopping NSV today too. I went shopping with my 12 year old at Delia's which is geared for young girls. I tried on a coat (did not look like it was for the teenage set) and it fit!! It was a little snug in the arms but I could have pulled it off. I did not buy it but my NSV was my daughter saying "wow Mom you can shop with me now, that us soo cool!"....she was so happy and I could tell she was proud of me! That was the best feeling ever! I also caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and I was surprised that I am starting to look normal....not obese! Congrats everyone....I am so proud of all of us!

You can do all of those things, it just takes some planning. I go out to lunch and have soup. This time of the year they usually have some nice hearty soups. It does get easier....I promise! I unfortunately can get popcorn down!!! I just hate not drinking with it so I usually just have a couple of handfuls of my kids. But you are right....it all does revolve around food now but once you adapt to you new life it will be about the game etc. not about the food! Sorry for the Cowboys loss....I really thought it would be Patriots Cowboys Superbowl!! I am a very big Pats fan. Good luck with your band and it does get much much easier!!

I had my lapband in May....still have not told anyone except my husband and kids! For me that is a huge deal because I admittedly cannot keep a secret! I just did not want to deal with any of the judgments or remarks but I honestly thought by now I would have told at least someone else. Sometimes I feel guilty not telling someone else who is struggling with their weight but I am sure they know it is available. I did it on my own...if someone told me, I probably would have been offended......just my 2 cents! Good luck on your journeys!

Hey All.....I had an NSV. I tried on a size 12 pants and they fit!! Not sure if I would wear them out of the house yet but they are on and zipped!!!! Scale is not moving much but I have been doing better on the exercise....thanks to Sandra for kicking our butts in gear!! I had a bad stuck experience yesterday, going to the docs in a couple of weeks, not sure about another fill after yesterday!!! I guess you are supposed to chew your food and not inhale it like the old days!!!! How do I forget like that????? Wenjea....good to hear from you again! Maureen

Thanks for all of the motivation ladies! I needed a kick in the a$$! I got on the eliptical last night and drank more Water than usual...still not enough but I will do better today! Today weights, squats, cardio and water!!!! Maureen

Sandra, Thanks for the motivation!!! I do need to get back to all of the bandster rules......especially the water and exercise. I have been failing miserably lately. It is unbelievable how quickly the old habits come back and how crappy and lethargic you feel after eating the bad stuff!!! You are right in that we all enjoy each others success. I remember feeling the same way. Once you start to lose and feel better you will realize you made the right choice. We hall have had the "What the hell did I do" moments. You are in what is known as bandster hell....it will not last long! I promise you it gets much better! Metal
