Good to hear from you, I am glad you had a good time and are feeling well! I stopped the pain meds a couple of days ago so yesterday I was a little uncomfortable. Whooo Hoooo good for you!!!

I am so hungry and I am only day 3!!! My DH made the kids pancakes for supper (not much of a cook) and they smell unbelievable!!! I never knew pancakes even had a smell. With my track record, I am probably gaining weight just sniffing them!!! GRRRR I am bored, in pain and hungry but other than that I am happy to be banded!!!! Thanks for letting me gripe!

I am also on 3 days post op. I am on full liquids but I get to have yogurt and applesauce etc. I am starting to feel hungry so the applesauce is like a little bit of heaven!!! The pain meds taste awful and make me too loopey (even more than usual) so I am off them since last night. My pipes have started working so no worries there! I am just sore and bruised. The heperon (sp) shots left huge bruises on my arms. Enough about me, I am really enjoying reading everyones journeys.....keep them coming! Hugs to all my bandmates! Maureen

I like the GNC whey Protein powder, and I mix it with skim milk. The Cookies and cream is my favorite. Sometimes I mix a little (sugar free)Carnation instant Breakfast in too to give it a little sweeter taste. I also mix a scoop of chocolate whey Protein in with sf choc pudding. Good Luck...I am day 3 and still having trouble getting in enough protein, but I am sure it will get easier.

And we both had Dr. Schneider!!!! I must be his trademark! Your weightloss is so encouraging to me!! Keep up the good work. I am on day three of bandland and just trying to get in some water and protein shake. I hiccup with every sip!

I was just reading that too. I guess I am the winner because I have 7!!!! I had 4 two weeks ago for my gall bladder so I am full of holes! It will all be worth it in the end. Maureen

I was banded two days ago and the gurgling/growling is so loud. I have started to talk to it like the Seinfeld episode when his girl friends stomach growls and he says Heelllooooo! It just makes me laugh every time. I do need to name it.....what a good idea. P.S. Edie I have been following your progress and you look great, what and inspiration for us newbies! Maureen

Yes.. it is okay to be scared....I had mine yesterday and I am just a little sore today but I was still nervous going in! It is very natural to be afraid, but you are doing the right thing. Don't listen to anyone except yourself. It is a life long journey into Good Health not a landslide into heath problems due to obesity!!! Your friend will get over it if she is really a friend! Hello All, I was banded yesterday. I just got home, I thought it was going to be day surgery because my ins co would only allow out patient but my doc kept me overnight. I am so glad he did, I would have had a bad night in my own bed without all the great care from the nurses (dh tries but he is not as good as the nurses) My hats off to those who come right home and are up and about!!! I am still sore, need the pain meds, not too much gas yet!! I am soooo excited to start my new life!! Good luck to all who go tomorrow and hope yesterday and todays surgeries all went well. I have thought about this for so long, it seems surreal, I cannot believe I have been banded!! Thanks for all the support, What a great group of A MAY ZING people!!

Do not get me started!!! I feel really bad for the people who come to this country legally, and love to be here. They have watch all of these people come here illegally and abuse the system. It is a huge problem and in the end there will be no winners. This (or any) country cannot survive an infiltration like this! I am all for immigrants coming for a better life...just go through the process like everyone else. Love this land the way we do, do not come here and think that the laws do not apply. Sorry, I could go on and on...... I think the bill is horrible!

Hello fellow Mass Bandstahs, I am going in for surgery with Dr. Schneider tomorrow at 10:30. I am so anxious I could scream!!! It is so great to read all of your posts. It confirms that I am making the right decision. It is so easy to overindulge now. I have been drinking the protein shakes for 1 or 2 meals a day and have lost 10 lbs since I have started, I wish it was more but at least the scale is moving in the right direction!!!! I have only told my husband and kids. I feel like we are judged all the time on everything we do. I do not want to be judged on my decision to get banded. It is my decision and I do not want to have to explain it to anyone. I have a long road ahead. I am sure that people would not understand. If I had to justify it to people it would make the journey harder. My family is very supportive and happy for me. That is all I need (and this site of course)!!!

My skinny dream is to shop with my daughter, and maybe be able to share clothes. Not all clothes because I hate the look of the old Mom wearing things that look way too young for them.Ughh! We also snowboard together and I would like to fit into the cool clothes instead of the only ugly jacket that I can find to fit!!! It would be nice to have a selection for a change. I just wanted to let you know that I make sf pudding and I mix in a scoop o chocolate or unflavored whey protein in it. It does not change the taste. The kids enjoy it too. I also take the unflavored whey protein powder and mix it in with pancake batter etc. The family is now getting much more protein and they cannot taste the difference!!! Good Luck......4 more days and I get over the fence and make it to the other side! Maureen
