Thanks but do not give me too much credit.....I had pureed some eggs yesterday and had broccoli soup today!!! Pre op diet was 2 shakes per day and one small meal. I only lost 7lbs pre op. If I was losing the way you are, I would not get a fill. You are doing great!!! Keep up the good work!!

I am on them until the 11th.....3 weeks but I go to the nutritionist tomorrow. Hopefully they will put me on mushies!

Wow!!!39lbs congratulations!!! I have not even gotten to the mushie stage so I do not want to think about a fill yet. I have my first post op tomorrow. What are you doing for exercise??? Maureen

I am of full liquids but have had a couple of soft foods. I travel for work and yesterday I couldn't find a place with soup, I didn't pack anything so I ordered a breakfast sandwich and took out the eggs and ate a little. I chewed and chewed and it seemed to work!!! I just knew I needed protein. I am not doing great with water though.....I just can't get it all in. I am down 20 lbs also and yes it is way cool! I wore a suit type of jacket to work yesterday that I stopped wearing last year because it was too tight! I was so excited!! I cannot wait until we/I get to the regular clothes dept instead of "womens"!!! That is going to feel great! I hope my pain goes away like yours!!! Thanks for the encouragement!!!

Ragdoll, That is great, I am so jealous! I am having port pain still and could not even think about going to the gym! I can't even bend over without pain! I see the doc tomorrow for my first post op so I will see what he says. It is encouraging to hear that people already feel good enough to work out! I cannot wait to start working out, my energy level is finally coming back! Keep up the good work!

I still keep getting the stabbing pain . I feel great otherwise. As I said it can stop me dead in my tracks!!! I am so scared that it will never go away!!! I am going to the doc on Thursday so I will see what he says. I do not want him to have to re-do my port but I cannot live like this. I cannot bend over to tie my shoes, it wakes me up during the night if I try to move the wrong way, I cannot laugh or sneeze. It usually hurts getting in and out of the car. It is such a burning pain....Help!

I have been getting awful burning in the port area. I was banded 3 weeks ago also, it started one week after surgery and its excrutiating!!!(sp). It feels like with certain movements my port rips away from the muscle. It brings tears to my eyes and I have to stop whatever I am doing. I go to the doc on Thursday. I am not sure if this is what you are feeling but they called it positional pain. I just hope it does not have to be removed but I cannot live like this! Good Luck, I hope what you /I are feeling is just part of the normal healing process.

I voted that I am pro-life.....I did not say I that I have the right to legislate and use police power of the state to force you and your family to live by my moral code........I just simply answered that I am pro life.Pretty simple. I do not think that I can or will change your mind or your actions, I can only control my own! I value life, I do not want anyone to die, baby or mother. I never said I want to interfere with anyone else's rights.....I just believe in life. I never said I want the mother to die for the sake of saving the baby but I know that if I were pregnant....I would die to save the life of my baby so I guess that makes me a bad person. Call me whatever you want but it will not change how I feel!

Alexandra......I am sooo sorry to hear that you got denied! From reading your posts and seeing what kind of a person you are, I feel confident that you will be banded, one way or another!!! Insurance companies are totally clueless....keep trying and maybe they will finally get it, if not try bribery! Good luck from a fan of yours.... Maureen

Thanks for the quick reply. It is the worst pain I have ever felt! I can live with it if it will go away eventually but the thought of living like this is scary! My doc said as long as it is not infected (no fever etc) then to just take pain meds but you know they do not take this pain away!! I hope that in a week it will all be forgotten! I am having that severe pain now.....simple movements an I am brought to tears. I have not experienced anything like this before. I have a call in to my doctor but I wanted to find out if you ever found the cause?? It is a stabbing burning pain like a hot knife!!! Help!!!! It just started 2 days ago but now it is more frequent! Help!

Hot is not a strong enough word.....smoking hot at the very least!!! Jacob????? No clue. I want to know why Mikeil won't die (guy with the patch). Last season my screen saver was the numbers, to get back you had to type them in and you would hear the sounds of it going back to 108. It was so cool!

Cindyluhu, Thanks for the vote of confidence, you are so kind!!!! I am getting better. I cannot seem to get in enough water or protein but I have the next 4 days off from work so I should be able to! I am happy with the weight loss, it got me through my crankiness! You seem to be doing well with this!! I just cannot wait for mushies. Thank you my fellow mass bandstahhhh!

My mother had Dr. Randall at Lawrence Memorial in Medford. She had a gastric bypass. It was not a good experience. The care he gave her was terrible. She ended up in another hospital very very sick. I am not sure if it is the same Dr. but just so you know he was not good. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....... good luck!

Quinn, at first I was afraid to reply, I didn't want you to think I was stalking you LOL but I am a huge fan of lost!!! We watched the first 2 seasons on DVD and the 3rd on TV. I hated waiting a whole week and sitting through commercials...tons of them! I did not hate season 2.... I do not want Charlie to be dead! Our 25th wedding anniversary will be in 2009, all my weight should be gone by then and we are going to go on a trip. It would not happen now with my body image etc, I would not enjoy myself, wouldn't be in pictures,,,well you know the rest. I hope to be able to reward myself with health and a vacation!!!

Hello All, I am joining the pity party....I am still very uncomfortable, every growl, every burp, every sip hurts!!!! I cannot bend at the waist without serious pain. Can anyone bend at the waist???? I am having a hard time getting in much of anything. So far today I have had 4oz of a shake, maybe 10 oz of water and 2 oz of tomato soup. I do feel better everyday but it is still not quick enough for me (patience is not a strong suit of mine)! Ragdoll.....I am still swollen too. Susan...glad you are okay, I know I have no right to complain after reading your post....good luck!

Just checking in. How is it going? My hunger is gone but now I do not want to put anything in because now there is no pain. One sip of a shake and it hurts for a couple of minutes. Today I have had a few sips of a shake and not much Water. Seems like I am doing exactly what they said not to! Enough about me, please let me know how you are? Maureen
