Made it through surgery successfully and the day I was dismissed from hospital I had to fly 1200 miles (3 plane changes) because my mom went into critical care. Starting to feel a little more human today. Pain gets bad and then better....thank God. Overall feel very blesses and thankful minus the bladder infection I noticed today that was out of control. Thank you everyone for keeping me positive and in the right mind set right up to surgery! Can't wait to see weight my self in couple days. Congrads to everyone for taking the leap!

I got the call today- Surgery will be Dec 30th! I am so excited. I was told earlier in the month that it wouldn't happen in December because there were more important cases. I am so thankful and excited!!!! Bring on the liquid diet! I can do this!

I am in the liquid stage before also but in my second week of it. I did go and buy a bunch of sf Jello, sf popsicles and broth so I didn't need to keep going to the store and looking at food. I also have been having the same problems with my stomach...I think its the food change and my stomach trying to keep everything in the starvation mode. Last night I took a laxative and drank a ton more Water. Today I feel a lot better.... Hope this helps! Good luck with your surgery!

My case got submitted to insurance late due to the doctor's office dropping the ball. Anyhow it was submitted on Thursday so I called and check on it on Friday. I was told by my case manager nurse that there are a lot more important cases and urgent cases them mine and I am just going to have to wait - BCBS Empire in Florida. I tried to tell them that my surgery is penciled in for Dec 16th but I need my surgery approval number to schedule my last two appts with surgery nurses and to sign my final papers. My nurse says she can't schedule them without that approval. Just in case they had me start the clear liquid diet last Monday but I have hit a standstill in losing weight with it. I have been walking 5 miles a day everyday. I completed the 6 months nutrition classes and all the appts necessary. I am just bummed and a nervous wreck, I don't know what to do anymore.

In November I lost 7 pounds on the 1200 calorie they put me on with walking 5 miles a day. I started the clear liquid diet with 3 pure lean Protein shakes and I can't lose a pound since last Wednesday. I am still walking at least 5 miles a day and haven't cheated. I don't get it? My doc wants me t lose 10 pounds by Thursday if I get my insurance through. When I calculate my calories for the day I am having about 500 calories with all 3 Protein Shakes, sugarfree Jello, sf popsicles, broth and Water. Please help....... thank you!
