You will be an inspiration to your family with your strength. You are already inspiring me!

I'm feeling the same way, but all those that commented are correct. I have lost 30 lbs, for me that's over 4 pounds a week. But I guess we always want more. I have completely stayed away from carbs, they are like an addiction to me. If I eat some, it will lead to more.

Welcome! Both chez and love are awesome sources for advise.

What did your doc suggest as a goal weight?

The water has boiled, the steam is flowing, now let's get the kettle off the burner and move on. -
I understand the insurance frustration. The only suggestion I have is, before you travel to have the band done, be sure to have a local doctor that can take care of your after care(like fills). I have bcbs, I was scheduled for surgery 10/30 and insurance wanted more info at the last minute, so I was postponed to 12/17. But that gave me time to drop some pounds pre surgery. I had my first consult in July. Had to attend some classes, four I think. Mine is coming off slow and steady. I am half way to my first goal. When I reach tbat, I will come up with a new goal. My Dr. is amazing(you can find her info on my profile). I highly recommend her.i know framingham is a hike to brockton, but, you don't have appointments that often. Again, welcome to the party mass ladies!! Go Celtics!!!!!

Shoulder pain still!
Banjo257 replied to jewel2013's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt it on and off for a week. -
It is important,my doc postponed my first fill because I hadn't healed completely. I had glue also. I was banded 12/17 and she has me wear butterfly bandage everyday. But it's my fault, too much exercise to early. Hope you call the office tomorrow. Good luck.

So good, so good....

Msrhonda, I hope you appreciate all the tough love advise you are getting. These people care about your health. They are not diagnosing or giving you "when this happened to me blah blah blah..." stories. So good luck, good health, and use your head and get medical help!

This is your best post ever!!

I haven't but if not better tomorrow I hope you go to the doctor's. You don't want to get dehydrated. Good luck.

You will feel better each day. But those first days are lousy. But then all the good starts to happen. There is less of you every day. Lees body=More happiness. You will get through this.

Banjo257 replied to gretchdid's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Let's hope that will do the trick. Good luck to you. -
Maybe focus on the protein at meals and carbs for snack.

Best of luck and life to you! -
Got first fill last week, not feeling any different than before the band. Guess 4cc isn't my lucky number.
