It is so nice to go to LBT and hear so much happiness. TV news is so sad, but here there is hope and new beginnings. Do your best, even on the hard days. Dedicate your efforts to the brave women who lost their lives to help the children.

Good luck jewels and vj! Very exciting! I got mine Monday, so far so good!
  8. Daron, welcome and congrats on your decision. I just got banded Monday but I have been on this site for several months and learned sooooo much by reading posts. Advise, follow YOUR doctors orders. You will be amazed the different approaches different doctor's take. That's the only problem I find with this site, some folks like to play doctor. And when you ask opinions, get ready because they will come rapid fire! I have bonded on the site with people whom have been banded for awhile and with newbies. You want wisedom, but you also want a pal at the same stage as you. So you will be a January person, you may want to check out the january bandwagon supporters. I love the december group. Surgery have chapstick, your mouth and lips will be bone dry. One of the best advise I was given. Lastly, if you have aches or pains afterward, MOVE. Sitting still doesn't help. Heating pad, hot shower, etc. Oops, one more thing, the air the doc puts into your abdomen during surgy to help with the procedure has volume, and adds weight. The morning of my surgery I was 7 lbs lighter thsn after surgery. Had I not known that ahesd of time I would have cried!! Good luck. Banjo257

    My big "FAT" rant.

Evlyn You sound like many of our autobiographies. I tried every diet, and failed. I failed, not the diet. But Monday I got the band and now I have a "helper". Like a personal trainer inside me. I hope the finances will come thru for you. Here's to a HAPPY and HEALTHY new year!
