Has anybody else out there failed to lose weight with the band or am I the first?
-
Almost 3 months, in the first 3 weeks post op I lost 15 pounds & nothing since, my doc can't understand it & neither can I, I average 1000 calories a day, excersise at least 1/2 hr a day & can't lose anything, I would lose a lot more weight on diets consuming a lot more calories previously. I have given up & accepted the fact that the bands not for everyone.

How Did You Decide You Were Through Being Fat
Renz replied to Mayasgram's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm happy for you & I'm glad it's working for you I felt exactly the same, I paid for it myself it was my last resort, however the bands not for everyone I'm not losing weight despite following everything I was told, I've given up which is sad & disappointing but I'm over it!!! I wish you luck, sorry to be so negative but it's my story & it's the truth )) -
Is anyone else not counting calories sticking to 3 small meals of anything a day but still losing weight???
-
Thanks everyone, I have done many diets in the past so I know exactly what to do. My portions are probably smaller now I would lose so much more on the diets than with the band consuming less food, can't work it out! I'm happy because ive been told I won't put the weight back on like with past diets. I'm not giving up trying because I've seen it work for so many others, I just hope It does for me to.

I hate to come on here & sound negative but I feel like I need to say I'm not happy with the band for me, it's not what I expected I'm not loosing weight like I thought I would, I know I'm only 6 weeks post op & lost 15 lbs, but when I come on here & read what people lose i can't help but feel down, i also understand everyone's different but as far as I'm concerned when a person goes from eating a xl meal to a tiny little plate it would automatically fall off, I have eaten a lot more food on diets in the past & have had more success, except for putting it all back on eventually, that's exactly why I got the band. When I speak to my doctor he says I'm fine because there happy when it's a pound a week but for me that's nothing & I know it's not going to happen overnight & I have to be patient but it's hard when you don't see good results compared to others that's all, So sorry people I can rave on & on but I'm just not happy don't know how to continue

Im now 3 weeks post op & would love my all time favourite Sushi!!! Has anyone eaten sushi & does it go down well, will I ever be able to eat it again???
-
I know that obviously the more low fat the better however when your eating 1/4 of what your used to, wouldn't u naturally lose the weight. I noticed everybody's talking about how many calories they are eating, I don't count I eat anything that I can only when I feel hungry & make sure I drink plenty of water, would this not work???

Hi I was banded 10/4 & I have to say I never thought the healing process would be so bad I'm still sore, it didn't help that my stitches got infected, but other than that im so happy I did it!!! I rarely feel hungry just drink 3 protein shakes a day, I feel lighter already, I can eat the mushy food but dont know what to eat. I'm having protein shakes coz its easy, did anyone have any problems with what to eat? That's all I'm struggling with!
