Shane I did this ride two years ago. It is a great ride. You definitely need to do some hill work for when you get close to Austin. I won't be able to do it this year. Good luck and enjoy..
  3. I also am six weeks out, and experiencing the same pain. It seems to get worse as the day goes on, or I've been doing a lot of physical work.

I was sleeved Nov. 5th by Dr Treen at West Jeff. It has been great. It has been the easiest operation I have ever gone thru. His staff is very good. I'm one month out and have lost 30# since surgery another 30 prior to. I feel great about to start going to the gym. I just walk and play basketball as my exercise now.
  8. Very nervous prior to surgery. i guess I read too many horror stories. Surgery was very painless for me. I am one of the lucky ones! Good luck tomorrow.

    Big Decisions!

I have a good friend, he and his wife had wls. He had the band she the sleeve, they both did great. He is 5 years out and keeping his weight off. He is one of the few success stories from the band that I know. He told me if he could do it all again he would do the sleeve. It was an easy decision for me after that.

    I've Cheated!

I've told everyone that asked me how I'm losing weight. Everyone has been positive so far. When people ask why I had the surgery or could you have just gone on a regular diet, I tell them I have and that I would lose weight but then put it back on. I tell them I was digging my grave with a spoon. My weight was going to kill me. So if I cheated, I cheated an early death!
