Yeah sorry I did make a slight slip there with the spelling of Deed, my apologies. But could be fitting all the same. -

Montage replied to FatGirlFitGirl's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats!! That's amazing. Can't wait to find out when. I can get a date. -
So looking forward to Monday Afternoon! Little nervous of what the doc may say. hoping that he doesn't say no, or some other negative response. I am busy planning my strategy and discussing options of when to have it done. it's her b-day on the 17th Jan and i would like to do the surgery after so not to interrupt any celebrations. She however wants me to do it before. like as soon as possible at the beginning of the year. so she can look after me :-) So i will need to take this into account. She's a Teacher (south africa) so our school year is different to the States & UK. but she will still be on holiday until +-16th Jan. Really appreciate all her support. I Will let you all know what the doc says,

It's so great to have an awesome forum like this. I love technology!! I love my wife to pieces, for being supportive, not sure she knows exactly what it's gonna be like after my surgery, but I know that she will love an support me. Not many people have nearly close to that kind of support. Reading the forums I am so jealous of all the loses!! It's gonna be the 2nd most amazing day of my life, after my marriage. I will keep you all posted as the next few months unravel, and after surgery. Thanks All

Will I Need The Seat Belt Extender?
Montage replied to Mrs. CMK's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
All I can say is keep it up. I have used the extender on some flights and to be honest I don't feel that embarrassed, guess I'm used to it. I haven't had the surgery yet, but will next year Jan when my new medical aid kicks in. I long to not have to ever ask for it again. Oh and I'd love to cross my legs, even in a normal seat at home or even just on the floor. Keep it up. I cannot wait for my band. -
I for one have a similar problem with weightloss, I have been overweight 40+BMI pretty much my whole life. Looking at me you'd never say I weighed 160KG (sorry I'm South African). My wife knows my plans to get the surgery and luckily for me she is 100% supportive. She knows how hard I've tried and have tried almost every diet under the sun. I am doing this for my future, and for my future children. I don't want to be my father who like me was severely overweight most of his adult life and still is. He was never able to play sports with me or do much physical activity. So I want to give my kids what I never had. Call that daddy issues, but it really has opened my eyes. I wish you all the best and I am sure your wife will be very supportive once you start losing. Good Luck, and do what makes you happy!
