    First Fill?

I just had my first fill last week and had 2.8 cc's put in and my doctor also uses Floro under xray to watch the flow. I still don't feel much restriction, so I can get another fill in 4 weeks. I appreciate that the doctor does this slowly because I would hate to be too tight and get stuck. Good luck!

    October 2012 Bandsters

My surgery was October 30th and tomorrow is my first fill. I am excited. I am down 32 pounds but I am definitely getting hungrier each week after post op. I know I won't be anywhere near the green zone after one fill but I will at least be closer:) I am so proud of all of us October Bandsters! I can't wait to see what the next couple of months bring!

Trying hard not to get discouraged :(

I have my first fill tomorrow and I am 6 weeks post op. I hit a plateau too and it was discouraging but then the scale started to move again. I actually was eating 800 calories a day and not losing and I upped it to 1200 and started losing:) I also played around with the Carb Cycling and it worked too. Just changing things up helped;) Everyone says those few weeks after surgery are tough to lose. A friend of mine had the surgery a year ago and she said she would hit several plateaus and that was discouraging but then all of a sudden the scale moves a lot. In one year she lost 100 pounds. So we just have to be patient and trust in the process. Everyone says it takes a couple of fills to hit the sweet spot and then the hunger goes away and food stops controlling you. In a couple of months, we will be there.

Is it possible to not be eating enough

I am 6 weeks post op tomorrow and after surgery I hit a plateau and stayed there for two weeks. I was eating 800 calories a day. I upped my calories to 1200 and have been eating that ever since and I started losing again. I tried carb cycling too which many on here have suggested and I did that for a week to jump start things. I think you do have to "trick" your system because it is smart enough to know when you cut calories it should store fat. I really liked the Chris Powell book on carb cycling too. I am not doing it now, but I do like some of his ideas. If I hit a plateau again, I plan to carb cycle for a few weeks again. I started at 293 pounds and I am down 32 pounds. That is 1200 calories a day and working out for 40 minutes five days a week. Again, it works for me, but maybe not everyone.
