    hello everyone

Yes I do. I had it done dec 3/12:) I chose plication for personal reasons and there's some days I wonder if I had the sleeve would i loose quicker? But I am low bmi sw 203 and I'm 5'7 and I am at 165 now. Not too shabby;) whenever I get frustrated at slow loss I remember I am grateful to have this tool as I haven't been this weight for years and know I would not be here if it wasn't for that! Do you have plication?

  4. Is this similar to the fit bit then? Counts steps accurately and calories burned?

    Plication?

Instead of cutting out the stretchy portion of the stomach, they measure ( with the same bougie), and fold the stomach into itself, double stitch it in a way that has the same restriction as a sleeve but does not cut off blood flow to the stomach. The sleeve boasts a dramatic reduction in the grenahlin horomon, however a perk to the plication is not actually loosing any of your stomach incase it's needed lol... Hopefully one would never need a revision but the options there. They say its reversible then, but why would I want it reversed lol...

    Lap Band With Plication!

I have plication without the lb and love it! I am so grateful to have had this done. I was a low bmi so I'm losing a bit slower but I guarantee I wouldn't have come this far without it! Fantastic!

    Sleeved December 2012?

Dec3 here, sw 202 now I'm at 165. A bit of a slow loser but I'm 5'7 and haven't been this weight for years. I also had a four week stall that I just broke a week ago. I was panicking thinking this is it. But I realize my body was just being stubborn surpassing the 170 mark. Then bang i was down 4 pounds! I can't really make goals because I realize my body will do what it wants to do too to catch up maybe. So I just keep on keepin on and have faith that slow and steady wins the race;)

    Calorie Burning Tracker?

Ok so I am looking into gettin something too... I was going to order the fit it but another commented that although it counts your steps and calories it doesn't do heart rate so it's not accurate on the calories... Like she said her polar said she burned 600 cals during aerobics where as her fit it said only 400 for the same workout because it didn't take into account her heart rate. Is this the case? What are your thoughts?

    Fitbit....

Just curious... I read that it counts steps and calories but doesn't take into account your heart rate... So the calories may not be accurate according to what exercise you are doing? This other girl had a polar something and it would say 600 calories burned when she was doing aerobics as opposed to the fit bit saying 400 just based on how many steps she did in the aerobics. Is this the case? Still a neat tool but might not be very accurate for those avid exercisers trying to balance there caloric intake with excersize? What do you guys think?

    New and Nervous. ..

I didn't tell a soul either. I was gone for four days "shopping" and no one knew the difference. Read my other post on the your price thread and see what you think
  19. I could have booked less than a month from when I initially called but I was busy so it was about six weeks. I was scared too. Being away from home and my kids, in a strange country, Mexico of all Places! ( no offense to anyone) but it was completely out of my comfort bubble. I don't travel much. I was quite judgmental and naive I guess. Envisioning the drug cartel and a run down hospital lol. I went to the OCC in TJ mx with dr Ariel Ortiz. They were all great, professional, compassionate ( I'm a cry baby so I cried from the minute I got there lol I just can't help it). But everyone was very sensitive to my insecurities. I felt safe and taken care of from the minute they picked me up from the airport. The motel was great too. I honestly can't say how great everyone was. The price here was $16000 too and I just couldn't do it. Not to mention that the drs there had more experience then the ones I had the option to go see here. So anyway do what you feel most comfortable with. For me it was the right choice... Here I am just about four months out down 35 PDs and feel great. No complications... Anyway good luck with what you decide. Feel free to ask any questions;)

    New and Nervous. ..

I hope she clears you. Four beers isint the end of the world for gods sake. I spose that was one of the perks I had with self pay in TJ, got to skip all that crap. Someone judging a life changing experience for you over a few beers is harsh...
