  1. Do what you decide is best for you. We all have reasons for the choice we make. Some Of my reasons for choosing plication are: less invasive surgery : could use that portion of my stomach if needed (esophageal cancer): not all vs patience loose their hungry sensation: and my mom was part of the 1% with vs and almost died. So after going through 8 mos of hell with her I could not bring myself to do it, but also realizing I needed to do something. I know her case is the exception, but it was scary and I have three little kids. That being said I see many success stories with the vs as well. The decision is yours... I wish you the best in whatever you choose:)
  2. Getting wls is like getting pregnant. I felt like it was my time. I read the books, took the classes, spent time with others that had children. NOONE could have prepared me for what it was like to have a baby. She was premature and colic for one year. I was sad, frustrated, and p'oed at the world because it wasn't what I thought it was. At the time, I thought... What have I done? This isint how it's supposed to be! Why didn't anyone tell me it was gonna be like this? But I got through it (don't know how some days). Eight years later and two more kids and I say she is the best thing that ever happened to me! I am so grateful. That being said when I see a new mom struggling or am struggling myself in these early stages of wls, I think it WILL get better. Everyone is not the same. Some struggle more than others and need more emotional support. We all know what do to, we ve all done our research. Sometimes things might not go as smooth as we would hope. But everything happens for a reason and we will all get through this one way or another. Sit back, take a deep breathe, and know that in the end it will end up how it's supposed to be. Pray and be grateful for all the positives in your life and know that we can be here for each other in a positive and supportive way;)

    Paying Out of Pocket

They can't cash a photocopy but it would be a waste of their space and time if someone paid the deposit then never showed up. Makes sense I guess:)
