  1. I just left my appointment where I expected to get a fill only to be told that my port has flipped! I had my surgery in October and had to have a revision in December after my port flipped. Now I'm told that it flipped again! I was told that I haven't done anything to cause this. Apparently this "rarely happens". I'm so frustrated and upset! Has anyone else experienced this?

    Venting Session

Lannah, I had to chime in and I hardly ever reply to these posts. I agree with you totally. I have very thick skin and I think some people's comments are just rude. The people making such comments are usually the ones who comment in every post. We all knew those kind of people in school, the know -it-alls. Are they trying to help others, really? It's really sad. I get that they may have been successful in their journey, but sometimes it borderlines on bullying.

    October 2012 Bandsters

Going in to have the cord on my band readjusted. Apparently it was not suture correctly so now there is a huge bulge at my port site. I will also gets fill while my doctor is in there. I'm very frustrated

    Another Surgery!??

Ever since I was banded on 10/26/12, I thought it was odd that I could see and feel my port. I was told that it is normal, especially since my abdominal area is on the smaller side. I went for my one month post-op appointment today and when the nurse practitioner examined my incision she told me that what I thought was my port is actually the tubing from my band that is protruding. She immediately called my doctor and I was told to wait until he got in so that he could examine me. My doctor examined me and confirmed that the tubing of my band is protruding against my skin. He told me that if he does not correct it soon, the tubing will wrap around itself, eventually negating all that has been done to this point. (I've lost 25 pounds and 2 sizes since I began my journey.) So needless to say, I have to go back under next week to have this corrected. I'm very frustrated because I developed a rash around my incisions when I was banded and that rash is just now clearing up. Has anyone else ever had this issue.
