Some things are just out of your control like where you lose and sagging skin. My advice is to enjoy the journey and try not to worry about things too much. You are off to a great start!

I suffer from chronic dry mouth and lips .I have been to my gp and my dentist and have researched on the internet. There are products you can try like biotene who offer a mouthwash, gum, toothpaste, a gel you can put on your tongue and a mist you can spray in your mouth. You can chew gum or even get mints from the vitamin shoppe where the fist ingredient is xylitol. This is a sweetner that helps saliva flow. I chew ice cubes gum by icebreakers or you can get some from vitamin shoppe or even amazon. I have tried script mouthwashes several and the best thing that works is swishing your mouth with mylanta. I use the cherry generic from cvs and you can use as needed. It coats your tongue and brings relief for short periods. This not always caused by dehydration. It can be meds that you were on that are reacting to your lesser calories. I drink tons of water a day and it doesnt help at all. Right now my tongue feels like the top was stripped off . Also if you are a smoker that should be the first thing you change. Smoking will only make it worse. sorry you are all having trouble I hope this information helps you.

It's my experience that the roasted chickens are loaded with sodium. Many are injected with it for flavor when cooked. Google sodium in store bought roasted chickens. Lots of info comes up.

I cook something big once or twice a week and eat for my meals. Lucky I don't get bored. Chilli, stews and make up stuff etc. That way I control the sodium. I also use frozen onions, peppers ect to cook with.

Clear liquid phase and pills?
hely88 replied to tjmiller's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never had problems taking pills just did them slow and one by one. Please do not crush or cut any pills without checking with your pharmacist or doctor. I know extended release meds cannot be cut but there are also others. It just takes a phone call and it is well worth it! -
I'm suprised no one else is suggesting that you make sure to get enough water or liquids. They can help you feel more satisfied between meals.

Do you all calorie count? How many calories?
hely88 replied to starbaby11's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This is to the restriction part of your post. I dont count calories just measure everything. If you are hungry make sure you are eating the right kinds of foods. Solids not shakes or yogurts or stuff like that. Make sure you are eating slow. Also make sure you are drinking enough water. Liquids help getting and keeping you satisfied. If I am hungry and not time to eat I drink first then if still hungry I get a healthy snack. Best of luck!
