    Chia seeds anyone?

    I know people who use them. Best to start out small. I asked my nurse about them and she said try them and let her know. I was told to not let them sit long after you mix them.

  3. There are so many choices. Make sure what you get follows your doctor's guidelines. I like Unjury, Nectar and Pure Protein powders. I know a few people who use Isopure which is not a shake.     How many Calories? Protein? Carbs?

    I eat mostly 3half cup meals. I measure by volume and I don't count calories. I try to eat 60-70 protein a day.

    Curious about Quinoa

    I add quinoa to almost anything. I keep it ready in fridge. I even eat with my eggs and sometimes make a play on stirred fried rice. I find it helps me feel satisfied longer.

    time between bites

    There is a point where you can eat too slow. I was told my meals should take 20-30 minutes. Not sure what others were told. Eventually you will figure out what works for you.

    Sorry I guess I wasn't paying enough attention. Sounds like you are doing great. Don't worry so much about the calories yet. Most people are low in the beginning but once you get to solids it will all work out!

    I eat three half cup meals most days and I know I get more than that. What are you eating? It is kind of hard to answer without not knowing. Can you please post a day and we will look at it. Drinking usually is not the answer. I also agree you might want to take your meal diary to the nutritionist that works with your doctor.
  10. Quinoa is also good. It is a grain, gluten free and has protein.

    My band has been getting much tighter during time of month. Exhaustion and terrible back pain. I talked to nurse and she said Lots have this problem and to try eating very light at this time. Anyone else experience this? How do you handle it? Thanks in advance.

    Am I EATING TOO MUCH?

    I eat 3 half cup meals. It is what my doctor has all his patience do. Everyone is different. You might not need a fill. Your doctor will decide. Great going so far!

    Healthy Sweet?

    Mix cool whip lite or ff with unsweetened cocoa to taste and fridge or freeze. Comes out like rich chocolate. I also sometimes add pb2. I have also done with sf ff instant pudding. love the lemon. I only use two or three big tbls of cool whip. You control the amounts and calories. You will not believe it is not higher in fat or sugar.

    Chocolate

    I discovered an amazing chocolate treat. Cool whip lite or ff mixed with unsweetened cocoa. Just mix to taste and eat, fridge or freeze which is my favorite way. Also good to add PB2. The chocolate comes out a rich dark. I have also tried instant sf ff puddings but they have too much sodium for me.the lemon does taste incredible. Enjoy!

    Hungry

    My tummy talks to me all the time. Usually isnt hunger and haven't figured it out yet. A lot of times it is when I'm starting to eat. I think it is normal.

    How do you get enough protein?

    I am only posting what I was told and that was not to use those shots. I have also seen other people post here and another group that the were also told not to take . My suggestion for anyone trying to get a quick fix is to run it by your doctor or nutritionist. They should be the ones to ok them.

    I eat half cup meals 3 times a day packed with proteins. Chilii with meats and beans, fish including tuna, chicken eggs etc. I get between 60 and 70 grams a day. I do a lot of planning and researching recipes. You can do it. It is a process and the more you learn the better you will get.

    Mine is also tilted and was told not to worry but it makes fills a b***h!
  22. I never blended anything past liquids. You should be learning to eat now.
