Drinking coffee with my protein shake
hely88 replied to bout-time's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I love that! You can use coffee or any of the sf ff pudding mixes. Just be careful after liquids because Jello instant pudding mixes have 300 sodium per serving. I think their are 4 servings per box. Also PB2 is great to get Peanut Butter flavor! -
I still say if you are hungry and it is not meal time drink. If you are still hungry eat a smart snack. I will not walk around hungry or feeling deprived. I have found if I don't have a snack when I need one I get a headache. I was waking up with headache so at night I try to have dannon Greek yogurt. It is 80 calories and I think 12 Protein. Only if I am hungry.

Thanks for posting that. Just shows us how doctors vary. Either way it is defenitly not a replacement for a meal.
-
Great post. That is what I was told as well. So glad you posted. Always check with doctor or nutritionist if you are not sure about something.
-
My advice to you is to stop if your doctors say it is ok but try to drink at least 64ounces of water a day. The water will help flush some of the sodium out. Also if you eat or drink anything with caffein consider cutting that out as well. My blood pressure has been lower since doing all this. Best of luck to you!

They also taste horrible

Great start. Keep on keeping on!!

Sometimes explorer does not let you add. If so download firefox or google chrome.

Awesome for both of you . Rock On !!!
-
Congrats!!

Whooooooooooooooot whooooooooooooooooooot to both of you!!!
-
It depends what you are taking and how much. Can you please give us more info? Also you should talk to the doctor who prescribed your meds before stopping. I take lasix but since losing weight I usually only take on tom.

That is just tooooooooooo freaky!!!

I am just saying. I took one of the New Whey shots to my nutritionist and she advised me not to take them. Also no they would not count as a meal and will do nothing as far as satisfying your hunger. Depending what stage of food you are in when you get to solids that is what you should be eating.
-
I eat mostly all solids but when I go out to eat with family I usually have soup or something soft. My reasoning is they all eat so fast if I try to keep up I get sick. Also I don't always have a say where we go so I tell them to make sure restaurants have soup options in case they don't have anything else for me. I don't see anything wrong with this and it is not often. I see more and more people advocating solids and it makes me really happy.

Awesome ideas everyone. I love to see people being creative!! I like to use jello sf pudding cups with scoop of powder.

I just measure half cup count protein and that is it.

I met a girl in one of my lapband groups. She went for a fill and they made her drink water then eat a cracker! She told the nurse it felt kind of stuck so they did not give her a fill. She really needs a fill. Any comments? Thanks,

Have you ever been given a cracker at a fill???
hely88 replied to hely88's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Don't go by my original post. She replied to this herself read what she said. My opinion if it's a good idea why have none of us ever had it done with our fills? -
My advice is to get a heartrate monitor and work on getting your heart rate up during cardio exercises. Best of Luck!

I bought some but I just cant make myself spend the calories on them. I will save for an emergency. What kinds do you all like?

Awsome pics do not lie!!!
