Everyone stay strong!! Your journey is just beginning. I would advise you start working on forming new habits now. Cut out carbonated drinks, take smaller bites, chew longer, stop drinking while eating and anything else you can do to get ready. The journey starts now not your surgery date. Best of luck! -
Have you tracked your days and brought them to a nutritionist? That would be the next thing I would do. Best of Luck. Its a marathon not a sprint!

Right on!!!! -
Head hunger is really hard. What I do is when I feel hungry I drink first wait about 10 minutes then if still hungry eat something smart high protein. A lot of times I get busy and forget about food. I also find it extra important to track and measure everything when experiencing. Stay strong!!

PB2 is similar to peanut flour. It is powder that is left when all the bad stuff is removed. Most people mix it n shakes or yogurts, puddings. Might want to google it.

Too bad you gave up so fast. I did not like it as a paste frost time out, but really good when you add it to things like shakes, puddings, stir fry and more. I had to play around to get the paste right for me. I do 2tbls pb2 mixed with warm water, add one truvia, dash of salt and if I have on hand I mix in one tsp cool whip lite. Love it mixed with granola in my yogurt or on crackers.

This is the first time I have gone through my clothes since I began my journey. A friend of my mom's daughter has been running clothes and items up to NY and NJ so I decided to donate all my big clothes. It is a shame no one talks about them anymore but truth is a lot of people are really hurting and I am happy to donate my clothes. I absolutely did not even know that I had so much..

I am not sad actually I feel great about it. I had got to the point where I just bought 4pairs of the same back elastic pants. Also had no idea I had so many clothes. I am keeping the first pair of jeans I fit into which are huge. When I need a reminder how far I have Come I put them on. I am really happy that I have the opportunity to help others as others have helped me. The Karma effect.

I never eat more then a half cup at meals. When I see a cup of food it looks huge!!! Also you should be satisfied not full. It takes a while to learn what satisfied feels like so it is very important to measure your food to know when to stop.

I would be interested in the tops and jeans. Do you have any pics and what would you want for them? You can fb me at hely lb -
I find with me the key to eating anything lies in how it is cooked. If there is sauce etc. I have tons of recipes on Facebook recipe group. Included But not limited to seafood, chicken crockpot, skillet meals etc. if you are looking for something I don't have I am happy to find it for you. It is not a support group and I do it because I learn from looking at recipes and different links . I really enjoy it. If anyone wants to join just friend me at Hely lb. Also here is one way I cook either tilapia or chicken. I sautée frozen mixed peppers, frozen chopped onions and garlic then add 1 chicken breast or 1 tilapia filet. I chop the tilapia up as I cook it. I then add 1 or 2 tbls lachoy sesame ginger sauce or teriyaki sauce. It is important to measure because of the sodium content. This makes me two half cup servings .

Draven you rock ! I also second what you wrote!

I respect your decision to go raw/vegetarian however the band is meant to work with solids and I fear the juices are not going to keep you satisfied. I am also concerned about your protein intake. Maybe you can find some compromise with your diet. If you decide to go vegetarian I have a folder of recipes in my recipe group. Some are easy crock pot recipes. Feel free to friend me on Face book at hely lb. I have another member wanting to do vegetarian so will be adding more recipes to folder. You can message me with a list of things you like and I will find you some recipes to match. Best of Luck. Helen

Well I have always thought it sucks that my food gets cold before I finish but that is what happens when you eat correctly. When I put fish in microwave to reheat I usually sprinkle a little bit of water on it first.

I never had any problems with medications. I just took them one by one and waited a few minutes in between. Also if it was me, I would check with pharmacist to make sure all the pills can be crushed.

i honestly usually drink 40 plus ounces before I get out of bed in the morning. I make sure to fill bottles before I got to bed. I would not expect anyone else to do that but if I dont get my water in I really notice and increase in hunger. When I am hungry and its not a meal time I drink and then if still hungry have a smart snack.

Year 2 with band--ready to recommit--need a good mentor
hely88 replied to Lisa106678's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I started back end of October. I just asked my doctor for a copy of his guidelines and followed exactly what he said to do. I measure everything, track and drink lots and lots of water. I was very strict for a few months but now I have been able to tailor my diet more to what my body needs. I often try new more healthier choices. Best of Luck. I sincerely believe if I can do this anyone can. It all goes back to the want power. How bad do you want it?? You can do it. -
I felt like i didnt lose a lot yet

I am sure there are other doctors in your area who would be happy to take your money. -
I am sure your doctor has an emergency number and someone on call. Your best bet is to call them. The place you describe is where my port is.

It might be the food choices you are making as well as the amount. Maybe you can post some of the meals you have been eating and people can see if they have suggestions for you. Also are you drinking 64 oz of water? That also contributes to feeling satisfied.
