I'm 9 months out and i feel sometimes i may be eating to much but I'm still losing weight. That's the funny thing is that even though you're not eating that much at all compared to before surgery you pay more attention to what your eating.I like Chilis,i order the 6 ounce steak with broccoli and eat about half the steak and a couple bites of the broccoli but i also eat the chips and queso. Not much chips though.

Not that i know of.Really looking forward to talking to others and giving advice from my own experience.I'm still new at it but I'm 9 months out and I've lost 171lbs now.

Yea it was a joke but it would be awesome to walk in there and claim that i don't get to eat free!
-
We should meet at the Heart Attack Cafe!I think that would be awesome!

Smoking!!!!! -
I was eating things like cottage cheese, yogurts, mash potatos, etc! When i needed to stop was when i got the hick ups.Just don't rush anything, take it slow and learn to know your limits.I was the worst when it came to eating,i never knew when i was full so i just kept on eating until i pretty much handicapped myself weighing in at 381lbs and my height is 5ft 8 inches with a BMI of 59.9.I've lost 168lbs since my surgery 8 months 2 weeks ago.I still only eat a piece of grilled chicken and maybe a bite or two of veggies.I can't eat bread or pasta, since the surgery neither appeal to me and they just don't feel rite going down so i just gave them up! Good luck with it and don't get frustrated liked i see allot on here do.

I was cleared to work out 4 weeks after the surgery. The best thing to do is walk walk walk!
-
Saturdays are better for me after 3.
-
Well i haven't had any problems so i continue to do what I've been doing.
-
I've been doing the carnation breakfast with one raw egg and a banana in a blender. That is 40 grams of protein but your body will not take but about 20 grams at once so i just sip on that threw breakfast and lunch.I stopped doing that because i eat enough to get my protein along with drinking a muscle milk everyday.

Which part are they saying isn't good?I had a guy tell me that the treadmill is worthless but i beg to differ!
-
To be completely honest i have never payed attention to my protein intake! My calorie intake is usually around 700-1000 calories but i would go to the gym and get on the treadmill and set the incline to the max height position and speed to 4.0 and walk until i burned all the calories i ate and then some! Usually 60 minutes would burn around 1400 calories. The treadmill is the secret if you do just what i said.

Sounds good!

Believe me, you will not stop losing!I was dropping 12-15 pounds a week up until 3 months!I lost 110lbs the first 3 months! Now I'm losing about 2lbs week 8 months or!
-
I started walking about a mile a day the first week and then about 2 miles after that. Now I'm at about 28 miles a week and i ride my bike about 40 miles a week.I'm 8 months out.
-
I don't, they made 6 small incisions and they have pretty much gone away. The first two weeks i could sleep on anything but my side.I would sleep on the couch with my back to the couch and on my side. When i diff sleep in my bed again i woke up on my stomach and wad in alot of pain.Is funny because when i was overweighti could only sleep on my stomach and now 167lbs later i can't sleep on my stomach at all.

Forest Park is by far the nicest hospital I've ever been too! My surgery was at the one in Dallas.
-

-
My surgery was 2-17-12 and I've lost 167lbs!
-
I'm in Forney and i used Dr.Davidson at Forest Park!
-
8 months out.I used DR. Davidson here in Dallas, Texas.I really liked how he interacts with the patients. He actually eased my mind the day of the surgery when he asked me if he could say a prayer with me and my wife before the surgery.I see him November 30th for my 9 month one on one with him and can't wait because my goal weight is 200lbs and I'm now at 214lbs so I'm working my butt of to get that 14lbs off but is going to be tight because I've slowed so much.I started at 381lbs.I really like hearing everyone stories on here,i just wished i knew about this site when i was first out.
-
I've lost 168lbs.The weight just keeps falling off.I've slowed down to about 2lbs a week but i work out almost every day and i do exactly what my doctor tells me to do.
