Well .. Here I am 4 years after my surgery ... And starting over. I began this journey because I knew I needed a tool, since I couldn't do it on my own. I decided to have the surgery. I thought things were going good until I had my first fill which I knew I needed, since I had no restriction. I made an appointment to see my doctor, but she I got there, they said she was over booked and could I see the PA instead. So I agreed and let the PA do the fill. Well, that was my mistake. She stuck me three times with the needle and searched for the port. It was so painful. I began to think to myself, what have I gotten myself into? After she did the fill, I could tell I didn't really have much restriction, and let her do it one more time. What could I do, I was here because I was desperate for help? The next few days my port was sore and the port area was bruised. Needless to say, after this experience, I never went back. I thought this is not what I signed up for :( so I threw in the towel. Now after 5 years I am back, and ready to start this journey over. I went through this surgery for a reason, and I can't waste this opportunity. Wish me luck :D
