6 Month Bandiversary- Down 89 Lbs!
CaGottaBand replied to mrspopeye's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations! And on a side note...your dog is adorable!! -
I think I read on here that carbonated drinks make a person burp a ton. If you really want a beer, try a Guiness? Don't think that is carbonated. Also not sure if it's worth all the calories. I'd go with Rayanne's apply vodka peach concoction instead :-)

I'm so sorry. Hopefully you can get the slip fixed quickly.

Confused After Seminar
CaGottaBand replied to michmcpher31's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ran into the same thing at my seminar. The surgeon who ran it was anti-lap band and actually doesn't even perform the lap band procedure. I'm not sure if I'm just stubborn and don't want to take his opinion...but I said screw his opinion and am basing my opinion on the success stories posted on this forum. I know that if I follow the plan and exercise the band will work for me. I know it will be a struggle, but I'm willing to fight. I'm betting you're willing to fight as well. Good luck on whatever path you choose. -
I met a girl in Napa over the weekend and she had a permanant one on her engagement ring. It kinda looked like a "ledge" at the bottom of the ring. It was kinda cool, never saw anyone with that before.

You could try a Ring Snuggie until you get down to your goal weight and then have your rings sized. I found these at Wal-Mart.

I would think you would be fine, since the cabin is pressurized. Hope you have a safe trip.

Good morning. I have a quck questions for all you lap banders out there. My first appointment with my nutritionist is tomorrow morning and I'm wondering what I should ask her? I have a list of my own going...but just want to make sure I don't forget anything important

Thank you both :-)

Happy Election Day! Now That's Outta The Way... Anxiety About Surgery...
CaGottaBand replied to BandedBettyBoop's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
LOL...this totally made me think of my seminar. Someone actually asked, "How much it cost to lose 100 pounds?'" And she was SERIOUS! She really thought you paid per pound. She kept asking it over and over like the surgeon didn't understand what she was asking. Oh wow! -
Lapband With Plication?
CaGottaBand replied to missyl817's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And Dr Coirin doesn't do it. I asked at my first appointment. Although in my case it doesn't really matter since my insurance won't cover it anyways. -
Best of luck to you! I quit 2 months ago and it is amazing how your sense of smell and taste come back. Now I can smell the smokers when they come back from break. So happy I no longer reek like them.

I agree...yes I want to be healthy and all that jazz....but I really want to shop! Feel better about myself. Be a trophy wife. Be able to hike on my next trip to Hawaii. The goals are endless

Considering Lap Band But Very Unsure
CaGottaBand replied to petra1124's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I think those are all normal fears and we all have them. I haven't been banded yet, but there are tons of success stories on this forum. And from what I gather, the band works if you do the work and follow the rules. It's a tool, not a miracle cure. Knowing this, I myself, have decided to proceed with the lap band. And my first step was attending a free seminar. Best of luck to you with whatever you decide. -
I'm not 100% positive, but I'm pretty sure that can only be done on a PC.
