OMG she's beautiful!!! Congrats, momma!

I'm 34 & 3-1/2 mo post-op. We have talked about TTC no earlier than December 2013, but if it didn't happen before He's 40 (he's turning 38 this Friday) then we'll probably just forget it. I have 2 sons from a previous marriage & he has none of his own. All my friends are still childless, so I'd say age really is less of a concern as far as "making it happen".

Hi All! :} I'm in the Ithaca area & going through Cayuga Med with Dr. Bollo. Just curious if there's any others out there!

WTG! That's an awesome loss so far! Mine has slowed to a crawl recently. I used to lose 4-6#/wk & now I've only lost 4# in 3 wks. It's very frustrating.

Feel like I need to burp, but can't
mwrarr replied to Linkin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Are you on a PPI? When I go without mine for too long I'll get that feeling a lot. I don't force burps anymore (random puke-on-yourself horror...), but I do sometimes have a sip or two of carbonation if I feel really stuck & I know it's not just food trying to digest in that tiny space. But I'm also 3 months out, & by no means would I suggest that. -
I'm 34 with 2 kids, so my belly will always be a hot mess! Lol but it's a smaller, less overhang-y mess!

Thank you! It's crazy bc pre-op, I WAS the "after" IN MY HEAD lol so I look at the before & it kind of scares me that I didn't recognize it then. -
I can only speak for myself, but my skin isn't too bad & I've lost 67# since surgery & 106# overall. I drink at least 50 oz of water daily. Sometimes I can get a lot more, but when it's much less I feel it in my bones. I also use body scrub or a loofah in the shower & baby oil afterwards. I also use Nivea skin firming Q10 lotion in between (maybe once/day), & take my vitamins. I also get a fair amount of cardio in & do yoga for strength training. I'm not saying I don't have saggy spots, but they are nowhere near as bad as I imagined they'd be.

Worried I will fail and need Bypass
mwrarr replied to Taylor06's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will be successful! I can say this, bc I also started out with 170+ lbs to lose, & in the last 3 months, my sleeve has not ALLOWED me to cheat/fail. Physically, I mean. Plain & simple, only a little bit goes in. And when you put yourself on an eating schedule, with that new tiny tummy, & follow your NUTs/Drs guidelines, YOU *WILL* be a success story, too! -

Wow! Sounds about like me lol it was awful im glad you're doing well! i cant believe its been 6 months ready! feels like just a month or so since we all met on this thread hows the progress been? after I gave in & started back on liquids it all started feeling better. I transitioned back to mushies about 2 weeks later & have tried solids but they just hurt. I can't tolerate animal Proteins at all. I'm now lactose intolerant. And Im not cleared to have raw veggies, yet. It's been a slowwwww process. But the weight loss has been decent, so I can't really complain. They keep encouraging me to re-try more solids, but I haven't had much luck. My NUT is afraid I'll get (or already am) mentally stuck, so they want me to start seeing an eating disorder specialist at an outpatient clinic. :/

You look great! I'm sorry you have to Celebrate your amazing success at the same time as what would've been a huge life milestone. But as they say...onward & upward! My relationship has been shaky since being sleeved, so I can relate. Hang in there! Life is calling!!!

I'm 15 wks, but still mostly liquid/puréed diet & get an average of 400-550 cal/day.
-
Hi! I was having trouble keeping anything non-liquid down. I am actually still on about an 80% liquid/mushy diet. They aren't sure why this is happening. I don't have a stricture or blockage or leak (although that was the initial concern). I just have a really picky sleeve. I can only eat about 1-2 ounces at a time, depending on the day/meal. I'll be 15 weeks on Wednesday. How are you doing?

Hi! sorry...I got away from VST for a bit once I went back to work! I'm 6wks 5 days out & down 46#! I had to go back on full liquids at 4.5 wks due to a vomiting issue, but sloooooowly reintroducing mushies. How are you???

Just curious if anyone else does DDPYOGA/YRG? I've had the program since March & I love it!!! I had to take a break due to a few issues, but I'm restarting to get as straight as possible before surg next month. 347*294/284/135 (*347HW/294SSW) | (twitter) @Mwrarr | mwrarr.wordpress.com
