    Post-op Progress

    During my weight loss journey
  3. So I had my 6 month check-up today with my surgeon. He said everything looks good and I am doing a great job and to keep it up. I have lost 95 pounds since surgery and feel amazing. I know there are somethings that I still need to work on and get better at but for the most part I think 95 pounds in 6 months is awesome. I am an active person now working out 3 to 6 times a week including hiking almost every weekend. I can't wait to get this last 80 pounds off so I can feel even more amazing. Thank you to all of you that have supported me and made me feel so loved and cared for. I am sure I will still have many more questions and please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you might have. Love you all!

    Stall Already ?!

The biggest thing I have learned so far being 6 months out is you will have stalls all the time. You will get stalls or have weeks that you lose only 1 pound or even gain. Your body does crazy things and it different than everyone elses so remember you can't compare. You WILL have these stalls or slow weeks but it will eventually come off if you are following the program. I usually go 4 or 5 weeks losing between 2 and 4 pounds each week and then go 4 to 5 weeks only losing 1 to no pounds each week. It's crazy and can be frustrating but hang in there. You will get to a place where you don't stress about it as much. You just leave it up to your body and what it wants to do and how it wants to lose.

    Lookin good girl
  6. Amazing!!! Congrats girl
  7. The biggest thing I have learned about the weight loss so far is that stalls are going to happen throughout your weight loss journey. I will lose like 3 pounds a week for 3 weeks and then I will only lose 1 pound or none for the next 3 or 4 weeks. But like the other person said above I think I lose inches on the weeks I don't lose any or lose only 1 pound. The way you lose weight after the surgery is not what I expected but if you can prepare yourself now it might be a little easier when you hit the stalls or really slow weight loss.

    8 years post-op

Well you came to the right place for motivation but ultimatley it's up to you. You can do this. You have done this and you just need to get back to doing it. You are strong. You just have to not give up is all. You know what you are suppose to do you just can't be lax on it anymore. That's all that started to happen. You became lax, got confident and comfortable and it slowly started to come back. I have been there and done that so I know how it feels. I was on a liquid diet years before I had surgery and lost 130 pounds and gained it all back and more to where I was almost 400 pounds from 188 pounds. It's really easy to do let me tell ya but you can fight it and go back to where you were before. You need to get back to where food is fuel and not for comfort or enjoyment. You can have some of those foods but in moderation. And you know what maybe you can't. I am finding that if I let myself have some of my tirgger foods it leads to overeating on them so I need to stay farrrr away from them. You might be like that too. You will get there but don't make excuses. That will jsut keep you down the wrong path. Exercise at least 3 times a week for a half an hour and that alone starts making you feel better. Give it a couple of weeks or a month if you aren't already working out consistantly. YOU CAN DO THIS. ONLY YOU CAN CHANGE IT AROUND AND YOU CAN AND YOU WILL!
  11. Another goal marked off my list. Finally took Kaylah to Sea World and had an amazing time!

    Snacking

Yeah I think that is key. I did better today. I am trying to keep the food away from the desk or just bring only what I am going to eat to my desk and that is it. Day 1 down. Let's see how day 2 goes, LOL. Thanks for the advice. Make sure you remember what you told me because you might end up with the same problem. Be strong and stay away!

    Snacking

I do need to find out why for sure. I am almost always doing it when I am sitting at my desk at work. I am a bookkeeper so I sit a lot. I am up and down all day but mostly sitting so it's just a habit to grab and eat. I need to just keep the food out of my office and go to the back room when it's time to eat my snack. I am doing this starting tomorrow I sear. I am throwing the snack foods that I usually munch on out tonight and going to pick up a veggie and fruit tray in the morning. Hopefully this will help Thanks for the great advice.

    Protein food list

I am sure it depends on the brand and what it is made of. Make sure you look at that and don't assume. I don't know what they based their amounts off of
