I got a bad case of vertigo when I was on a liquid diet and it was the worst thing ever. I was in the hospital and I couldn't walk around for about a week without throwing up and couldn't drive for like a month. It was bad. I think it was from the fast weight loss. I am not sure but if I got it doing that and you are getting it now I think it has to do with that. I am not a doctor though so I don't know.

Depressed To Realize It's Come To This.
theby_88 replied to jodimc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Dont worry girl I felt the same way. The closer my surgery date came the more and more my mind tried to trick myself and say hey you can do this on your own you don't need the surgery. But let's be honest. How many years has it been you trying to do this on your own and failed? Exacally!!! So no you can't do it on your own you need the help. And let me just say since having the surgery, you are still doing it on your own. This is really just a tool. It's up to you if you want to lose it and keep it off or you want to keep going down the same route you always have. I have heard of people losing it and gaining it all back or not losing it at all, which I don't know if is really possible, but believe me when I say, YOU ARE DOING IT BY YOURSELF so don't feel like a failure. I did also until I got the surgery. Know I know this isn't any easier than doing it without the surgery. It just helps gives you an advantage of losing it quicker but you still have to do the right things in order for it to work. Keep your head up. It will get better. You will go through a lot of mind games after surgery too. Mine lasted about 2 weeks and now I am getting better. I hope I don't feel down again. I didn't like that. Good luck girl! -

Hey Family, So I have been feeling negative about my surgery for a little while now wondering if I made the right decisons and thinking about how long I have to eat like this, forever. I miss all the foods that I love so much and sometimes feel like I wish I didn't have this surgery so I could have them. Does or has anyone else felt this way? I feel so alone right now. I am sad

Regrets And Second Guesses?
theby_88 replied to theby_88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yeah I always try to remind myself that but sometimes I rather give up the surgery so I can eat that food just at that moment. Obviously it passes and my moods go up and down but I am sure this will pass too. Don't get me wrong I am very thankful for the opportunity to have this surgery, I am just going through the motions. -

Regrets And Second Guesses?

Well knowing I can eat all the foods I love again does make it a little better, even if it is in monderation which I don't mind. I might find that when I taste these foods I might not enjoy them anymore but until that day I get to try it I won't know. I hope that happens that would be amazing. And I am not wanting to eat a huge burger and a large fry with a milkshake or anything. It's just emjoying the food I eat that I miss I think. I believe that being a single mother everything in my life is a responibility or a duty and the only reward that I have time to give myself is food cause you got to eat. I really believe that is why I turned to food for happiness. What else can you do while in the car driving to your next stop or sitting at your desk at work while getting the rest of your work done and enjoy it. Nothing really but eating. You get what I am saying. Food was my pleasure of choice that was convienent for me and do-able. Soooo it's hard to let that go even if it is for 1 month or 6 months. Even for 2 weeks it's hard when you lived it for so long. -

Yeah I think I will feel the same once the weight really starts coming off and I really start noticing it. I haven't been losing much because I am not able to get all my protein in and I have been really neauseous so I haven't wanted to eat much. I am doing better but still need to get all my protein in. -

Thank you everyone. I know this is going to be a long journey and it's going to be a fight it's just getting to the point where the fight is all worth it. I know it can only get better and go up from here. Like I said I think once I can start eating more solid foods and I can get all my protein in and start really losing weight I will fee a lot better about everything. I have had trouble getting all my protein in cause I have been neauseous so I haven't been losing that much weight recently but I am working on it. Thank you all again and I really appreciate all your guys' support and comments. -

Well that makes me feel a little better. I think if I had more food choices that were enjoyable this wouldn't be so hard but I am still in the purred kind of soft food stage. All I want is a burger even if it's only 2 bites and 5 fries I would be happy or at least I think I would. Hopefully when I can start eating anything I will eat healthy foods and be happy with that. Just not being able to choose from any foods get to me. Thanks for your support -
I would love the list as well please theby_88@yahoo.com. Thank you so much!

Has Anyone Had Problems Sleeping 2 Weeks Post-Op?
theby_88 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello family, I haven't slept in 2 days and I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with sleeping or insomnia since surgery. I am a little over 2 weeks out and this is my second day of this. I am soooo exhausted and my head is killing me. I have to go back to work Wed and there is no way I can do that if I keep having these sleepless nights. Any advice? -

Bowel Problems, I Need Advice Please
theby_88 posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok guys gross topic I know but I really need some advice. I have been having bowl problems since surgery and I don't know what to do. I have a prescription for stool softner but it burns my thorat really bad and tastes horrible. I have tired to mix it with milk which does help with the burn but I almost throw up everytime I drink it and I have to do 25ml shots at one time and twice a day. Does anyone have any advice for me or maybe someone who had this same problem could tell me what they did I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much! -

Thank you everyone for your advice. I really appreciate it. My nurse called me and said it was fine so I tried it. Helped a little so far. Waiting for the next to find out if it's better,LOL. Just like everything else I think it all depends on your docotor and your own body. Everyone's stomach reacts differently.
