Pus Pocket Underneath Surgery Scar?
soreadynow replied to newskinnygal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have one incision that slightly opened and had yellowish stuff coming out and i have another incision that has a stitch sticking out. I'm 2 weeks post-op. i called my dr Thursday and they called in another antibiotic but forgot to call me so I found out by calling the pharmacy 20 mins before i had to go to work. So now figuring out how to take these pills yuck. I crushed it and it is soooo gross swallowing the powder. -

Tylenol Pm should be ok, its just tylenol and diphenhydramine (generic benadryl). My dr told me i could take benadryl because of the itching from the glue. -
I was tired when I got home, but otherwise it wasn't so bad. When I was off work on Monday it really hit me though. I think being on the go all day Saturday and Sunday wore me out but I didn't want to keep my family from doing anything. It took about 2 days to recover from working the first 2 days after surgery.

I just have to say today I was allowed to start having mushies so I decided I was going to have some oatmeal. I mixed it with my protein powder and some skim milk. Can I say it was sooooo awesome. -

I think that there is such a difference because the doctors have seen the different things that work for their patients and so they stay with it instead of there being a set in stone plan for everyone. Even some of the things they tell us to eat/drink change within their own office. I have paperwork and books from my dr but between all of them it says to do different things. I have been taking all of it and seeing what works the best so I don't feel hungry or feel like I'm going to get sick because what they said to do was too much. I've also been seeing some things that people have posted they are doing and have written them down to see if it is something I could try or use. I think it pretty much comes down to keeping track of what you're doing and what the dr says to do and how your body reacts. -

My surgery was at an out-patient center. I arrived at 7am and was on my way home at 10:30am. I was able to move about my house as I needed. I returned to work the day after surgery.
