Well by fail we mean u are diagnosed with some sort of sleep apnea..passing would mean you do not have apnea

I took my sleep study wed night..they said I have moderate sleep apnea & now I have to retest next wed with Cpap machine..my getting approved is dependent on me having apnea..so I'm assuming this is what I need to qualify? They said unless I had it I wouldn't qualify because my BMI is borderline...any thghts ?

The letter to yourself is a wonderful idea..I don't know how newly divorced u r but ...I do know time helps...when u open the letter to your old self after you reach your goal or after a year I would be willing to bet you can put it all into perspective & be thankful she is married to him & not u!!!! I bet your life will be so fulfilled and u will read that letter & not know the same girl who wrote it! You have to focus on yourself taking care of u & you have a daughter who deserves her mother @ her best & happiest ! Keep your chin up & I will be praying that The Lord wraps His arms of comfort around you & gives you the ability to find peace in this difficult time ..know that you are worth more & u WILL make it thru this storm;-)

I am going to have to have a sleep study..my BMI over last 3 years is about 5 pounds to low for a 40 BMI:/ I have no comorbids so hoping I will have apnea as a comorbid for approval lol My question is what qualifies u to fail a sleep study?

Well that's probably a good thing then(-: It probably will lead to your success after surgery.but I would be upset as well!llol ..I really don't get the 6 month diet nor do most surgeons I've talked to.they say its just a roadblock to try & get people to give up on having surgery.But the psych part I understand . Because there are some people who have real issues that wouldn't make them a good candidate.glad ur on your way to a new u!

LolA that's good that ur not delayed ..I work for a school system Also .So I'm kinda glad my surgery should b after schools out;-)..I dunno what u should do but I think u should maybe go with your instincts .i personally have prayed about this daily and if I ever get a bad feeling or no peace about the surgery I don't think I'll have it.having said that..it would take a heck of alot to stop me once I'm approved!!! Lol Maybe u r just doing what alot of people do and second guess your decision .I am sure what your feeling is probably completely normal! Keep us posted and hang in there!

Doing diet now I will be done in April! there is NO way around it ..your insurance coordinator @ surgeons office really should have warned u about the diet:/... Dunno what insurance u have but I have blue cross. also make sure u go within the same time every month to see the doc who monitors ur diet and weigh in.example if u go on the 7th make sure u go back the following month on the 7th or within about 2 days after . ..if u go to early or to late it will not be excepted!

I don't have any tips because I'm waiting to finish my 6 month required diet:/...I haven't had my psych exam and am very curious what causes one to "fail". I would b so upset if I had to do therapy because of that and postpone surgery! Any ideas why u failed..not meaning to be to personal or nosey!

Guess I shouldn't be complaining but.. I go to doc and my BMI is borderline to low. While doc will do bypass he says the girl who handles insurance blew the wind outta my sail.. My BMI was 39.5 I hve no comorbidities ... She need records showing my past 3 year weights ( can't remember back that far what my BMI would have been... I know I was over weight tho! Keeping my fingers crossed it was an exceptae BMI ... Uggh all my life my weight has been an issue !! Now it maynot be?? Seriously:( I know I should like a whinny baby I'm just so worried I won't get approved any one else been thru this? Btw my screen had disappeared. So I cannot see what I'm typing! Sorry if there r miss spellings or sentences that are strange!!
