Hi, I'm Shirley and my story is pretty much the same as everyone else here. I've always been heavy and have tried every diet out there from Akins to Weight Watchers. I'm really good at losing weight and over the years have probably lost over 1500 pounds. My problem comes in when I try to keep it off. I do well for a year or so and then begin to gain it all back. I'm hoping that this time that won't happen since I won't be able to eat as much. Please keep me in your prayers so that God can give me the strength to keep it off this time.

I'm in my early 60's and I've been divorced for about 4 years. I'm currently living in Hot Springs and working for the State of AR in their field office located in Arkadelphia. Its about an hour drive each way and I'm looking forward to retiring in a few more years. I was born and raised in FL and may relocate back there or back to the State of TN when I do retire since I have family living in both states.

I spend my spare time doing genealogy research and making quilts. I have a long-arm quilting machine and have started quilting tops for others in order to bring in a little extra income. If I could, I would open a quilt and fabric shop but it looks like that may be just a dream for a while but who knows what the future might bring.

I wish all of you good luck in your surgeries too. I want to find someone at about the same stage of their weight loss so that we can become support for each other. If you need a weight loss buddy or some support, send me an email.
