I am addicted to Italian Ice: My confession
Bama53 replied to NaNa's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I got some of those and loved it! But then I looked at the carbs (26g) and sugar 20g)as I did not look at that when I bought it because I am so used to looking at calories and fat from the diets I would be on and wanted to cry So now they are just sitting in the freezer. -
Hope all goes well to you! I don't get mine until Oct 31st, but I'm going to ask the nurse if my Dr can do it sooner. Getting hungry and afraid I might overeat. I'm starving now. Won't hurt to try. Please let me know how it goes tomorrow

OMgosh, night time for me too. I do so good during the day. I've been eating those small cups of pudding that I thought were sugar free, but realized last nite they aren't and I usually end up eating 2 with a little dollop of whip cream, but will make better choices.

Sorry to hear the hard times you are going through! Don't know what to tell you on that as my first fill is not until Oct 31st (banded Sept 19), except talk to your Doctor, (as I have read on here from some pretty awesome lapbanders)that is what they are there for. To help you! Take in your food journal and review with your Doctor. Maybe there is something there you don't see. You gotta make time for exercise. Every little bit helps and drink your water. Hang in there!! Best of luck

Suggested to my husband we go out for breakfast this morning after my 3 mile walk at the lake (beautiful morning) He has not had a "really good meal" since my surgery on Sept 19th. He's one of these that can eat whatever and still not gain weight. Anyway, he really enjoyed it and so did I. I am still in the mushie stage and ordered 1 egg with a small bowl of grits and estimated my allowed 4 oz and ate more egg than grits, and mushed it right on up It was really good! -Feeling blessed!

When I went thru my training for lapband, I was instructed by the RN not to drink 20mins before and after I eat as the liquid will push the food through faster and I will not stay satisfied as long as I should. I look forward to my coffee each morning

Had my 2week post op Dr. visit and all is going great! I've lost 25 lbs in 24 days (that includes my pre-op diet beg 9/9). On to mushies for a week then to solids. It's great to feel my clothes loosen. First fill on Oct 31st. I know I have a road ahead, but I can and will succeed!!!

Hope your feeling better and all went well with the birthday and cake. Don't know if I could do that, but then when it comes to our babies... I started mushies yesterday and I have nothing in my band either. I've been making chicken salad and crab salad in the food processor and is sooooo good. I went back an hour after I ate and got seconds, but not as much. Just have to drink after my 20 mins and I'm sure that will help. Just craving meats. Dr. told me to start using measuring cup, which I'm allowed 1/8 veggie and 1/8 carbs and 1/4 meat for a total of 4 oz each meal. My fill is not until Oct 31st, but I start soft reg food next week. Just have to be mindful. Am walking every other day, which feels great until I get home, then I can hardly move, but will get stronger. I do hope your back is better. Be careful with that

I did that day after surgery. Thought I tore stitches away. When I bent or sat I would get sharp pains. I learned to pressure fingers on port area and is fine My nurse said its probably where port is catching and will heal. Getting better. Just take it slow. Good luck. -
I know what you mean. Last nite it was like I could not get satisfied and the day before I was not that hungry (was still on liquids) Mushies starting today. Anyway, Congrats on you deciding to walk instead of eat. That is great! Keep up the great job!!

For me Atkins shakes. High in protein and low in carbs and sugar. Good luck!
