When I first started it was about my third fill I had gained a little , I guess it takes a little tie to heal but then as I started to eat right and more healthier the pounds started coming off then the plataues wich suck but it took quite a while for me and the band to get used to each other , but we have been getting real aquainted with each othe after y last fill now and I am almost a year post op and it took me about 6 or 7 fills and I now have 11cc's in a 14 cc band some people don't need any fills and some of us do each and everyone of us are different.

There is always soda around my hose but I chose to make myself Happy and healthy so I don't drink it anyore , however I do have a glass of tea with NO sugar and a bit of lemon juice for taste or I do the crystal light flavoring in my water I also do A LOT of WATER to help me get thru even the diet soda I DON"T drink I tried aall slurpeea few months ago not a good experience so I choose not to have it any more , cause I am on track to a healthier me.

It is like us lol we want what we can't have sometimes and we will try but our experience is not a good one , and why would you want to do that again , most of us are the same as we we're before we are just healthier in body and mind so if he wasn't good to you before the healthier you now , he doesn't deserve the new iproved healthier you just keep the nsv and except it then keep thigs moving like you have.

I was trying to find them I haven't seen the in any stores yet , I wanted to read the calories ,nutrient and what kind there is I have checked four different stores and I work in a grocery store and have asked , we don't carry them so I went to the web site but I don't buy y food of the web , wish I could find them I want to try them but if it like a tortilla I may not be able to eat them.

Well Steve even if we r here to help and support each other on this site and if you need to ask questions from other men don't be afraid to ask there is a site on here called mens room I think so you can go there also just post questions on here cause there is a few men on here that have posted even to just to post on how they r doing so let the healing, support and questions and likes begin,as bandsters we all had to start somewhere or we wouldn't be here so let your journey begin and good luck sounds like your off to a good start tho by making the choice you did.

Well how is your wife doing and do you feel better that at least something go done , please let us know she came out alright and is back on track .

I still go to walmart & go to the just my size section cause I only wear front closure support bras I am a 40 dd so it is hard to find a good fitting comfortable bra I can wear for a long time and I think I might be getting a smaller size soon cause my sports bra I have been wearing a lot sees to be falling of my shoulders , however if you can find a walmart and check out the just my section you might be able to get a comfy fit and you can always ask if they have a measuring tape so they can fit you right, cup size ,roundness to the back and shoulders.

I went shopping the other day on my day off at the store and I asked one of the ladies I work with in the deli for a lb of pasta we sell and she said you can't eat all that I said I know I just want to have a few bites as they see how much I eat and stay full and satisified on what I drink or eat , then I had to tell her it was for the family mostly so I got it home and I ate 3 bites and I was satisified on it but then y stomache started to bloat so no pasta for me but it was good and satisfied the craving I had , however I don't need my stomache to expand as this is why I got banded lol plus my over eating and not knowing when to stop so I am glad this tool helps me recognize now.

Someone recently asked me how I was losing weight so I told them I would bring soe papers for them to read what I could have then I made copies of the post op & told them to try the first week for 2 weeks and to stick to it then at the end of 2 weeks let e know how u feel lol so I a going to wait but the one person who really wanted it didn't come in the next day I wander if she went into starvation mode lol

No ur not alone a lot of us experience the same tightening or loosening so just be careful and this tool called the band will (help) with r over eating and help us loose , so just be patient I have been stuck at the same 3 lbs for a while now ,but I am still waiting to see a 1 when I weigh in at my appointments,

Finally good job on your support and getting questions answered before it was really bad , it's about time they looked and caught the problem hopefully it will be better this time around sorry for saying around but I didn't know how else to put it. also you both take care of each other as I can see u both do , when she feels up to it tell her we wer'e thinking of her health and her also , soon hopefully she will be her self again not to soon tho make her rest and follow the instructions also you take a look so u know what's going on so no more awful experiences with the healing and being banded , still either u or your wife keep us informed please,

Kids do speak the truth don't they but how good did that feel that even the kids r noticing the weight dropping , that was good tho , keep going.

How is your wife doing any better and what was the outcome of all of this is she any better and how did it get to the point of where you had to take her to the ER, please let us know what happened?

Donna you have went thru a lot this past year and I would ask your band doctor if they can recommend a therapist that deals with eating disorders but you have done so well and look how far you have come go back and read soe of the comments on your page and see the different pics of yourself , I mean I figure I put myself thru this and paid for some of the surgery to help me , and think how you have encourgaged people ya you and how you encourarged yourself , yes we all have struggled at times but we,try to get thru it oh ya don't forget moderation is key I am so proud of you , look how far you are going and where you have been , but check and do research just like anything and don't forget to ask any questions and make sure ur comfortable with that therapist, good luck.

So we see your fills , now just let the oldies &newbies, or the ones who are about to be banded what exercise or food u ate , that seems like a lot of weight in just 4 months so please let us know so all of us can get encouragement , please & thankyou oh ya u posted this pic now post the before pic so we can see how well u have done.

I am like you in the morning very tight afternoon I feel like I get full fast then in the evening I seem to loosen up but I don't over do it cause I get that air pressure and the pbing start's so I stop cause if I don't I will sure end up hurting .

Your right also other band Doctors don't like to touch other band doctors patience I have to drive a hour just to get fills from my band Surgeon and he is great altho I went to one seminar with another band doctor wich is 15 min away from me and I wanted to go to one of his support meetings and they said if I was not a patient of his I could not go and it would be very convienant to see him for fills I mean it's only 15 min away but instead I would have to request all of my paper trail work and then see if he (MIGHT) take me so I drie a hour just to save the hassle , so I stay with my band surgeon and I know 2 other people who had him so I feel Real comfortable with him and as I had posted before I can text or call him ANY TIME and will get a response so I like that.

At least she is getting protein down even if it is by drinking , cause you had said she could not keep anything down and had lost a great amount in such a short time , let us know who the surgeon is and what city or state you live so maybe we can suggest another surgeon or we can check in to it for you maybe ,is your wife back home or how long did she have to stay at the hospital and how long did she have to have the I V for her not to be dehydrated and it might take a week or 2 for her to be able to eat solid food so see if she can at least maybe do soup or Really mashed potato's without chuncks or even a teaspoon of peanut butter creamy then see if she has instructions for post op week after being banded so you can help her with that , oh I remember post op I could have surgar free jello,pudding or popsicles so see if she might tolerate that , hopefully she gets better and tell her we all are hoping that and thankyou spouse supporter for updating us and being the best supporter for your wife.

Please update us spouse of lapbander and let us know what happened as we need to know so we don't have the experience that you the supporter and your wife the bander had as we appreciate the input so please let us know what happen and is she your wife doing any better?

No your right, it is the decision of that person and there can be complications with all and I have only heard of a 10 or 14 cc band I am glad you & your wife took the advice and went to the hospital she is probally dehydrated by now and may hae to stay a few days and make sure to ask anything as the surgeon should not disiss any questions cause they r the doctor and u just want to be informed as much as possible I hope your Wife gets better and hopefully the run the barium test to see why things(food & drink ) wouldn't stay down , I don't know why the surgeon wouldn't know what size band to put in that is very disturbing to me , even if you think the question is dumb still ask I can text my or call my surgeon no matter what day or time it is to get a answer if I think something is not normal and that is why I chose him cause I went to 3 different seminars with 3 different surgeons and I know 2 people that had the same surgeon as mine different hospitals but we all have done good so I appreciate being to ask him about anything at anytime, as we all have questions before, after and during our journey , keep us updated and I hope things get better for her , keep your support for her and be strong as I know that is what made you get her to go and if you need advice on anything else just ask here we will try to help also we try to support each other.

Please let us know what happens and I am glad you are their to get and be her support so now call her Band doctor and her pcp and make something happen before their are more complications.
