Stop it some more... quit it again... knock it off over and over. THe one thing a girl that weighed well over 250 never heard was that she was "cute" ... I love it! Dang Teresa... I'm going to have to wear my hat 24/7 now! What would I do without you guys??? Darcy
-
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE HAWWWWWWWW Michelle!!!! ((((hugs))))
-
I normally don't look cute... but darned if that hat doesn't work a little magic! I seriously NEVER where a hat... even in the winter because I hat how I look with one on... HOWEVER... I love this hat Teresa and my head and ears will be very happy THIS winter! The hat arrived Friday... but we were having some puter problems as well as trying to get all the outdoor CHristmas decorations up before the snow flies. When I opened the package it was like a breath of fresh air with the tea light candle. I wasn't able to get the pics off the camera until this morning... sorry for the delay in posting... hope you weren't worried. Thanks again Miss Teresa! Darcy

I'm right there with ya Greg... one pound down... BUT... I have been a little piggy this past week and am pretty darn happy that the scale went in the downward direction! Last week was hugely stressful with my hubby being outsourced and waiting to see if he would be one of the 22 employees that would be hired by the consulting company (7 positions). I am happy to say that he was offered a position! Whew! I have settled down about the "fast weight loss" desire. This band is with me for the long haul... what's my big freaking hurry? Heck... maybe I'll follow Lisa's lead and start weighing once a month? Nahhhhhh. Hope everybody had a good week... Greg... kudos on another notch down! Darcy

Yeah... the ONLY good part of being overweight was having boobage for me! I am watching with ever increasing concern as they disappear before my eyes! I can't imagine going through surgey again... BUT... if I did... a boob lift and FILL would be at the top of my list. I am also not a big fan of the darling apron that I seem to be cultivating. *sigh* A moment of silence for the loss of perky, rounded upward pointing ta ta's. Ryan... hope your "fella's" fair better than our "lil ladies". *A toast... May we all walk without knocking anybody else in the head with our sagging, swinging body parts*

Okay... what's the next best thing to eating chocolate???? Smelling like chocolate!!!!! I went to the Bath and Body outlet and I LOVE the chocolate scrub and hand cream!!!! OMIGOD... I smell my hands and drool every 5 steps or so! I smell just like a Tootsie roll! Hmmmm... my hubby is a chocolate freak... me thinks a little romance may be in store for me tonight! Darcy

AWWWWWWWW... what a handsome little fella!
-
I'm dying here...LOLOLOLOL!!!!! I can outbelch and outfart the best of em! Thank goodness I'm married to man that has a sense of humor and an unending respect for my newly found gas passage abilities! Just one more reason to exfoliate and lotion up my arse with chocolate scented lotions.
-
Have fun Lisa! We'll miss ya... come back safe and sound!
-
Ummmm... All three
-
Greg... nevermind on that whipped cream...
-
Becky Lee... DO NOT READ Okay... hmmm... My exfoliated chocolate scented hinder must not be nearly as interesting as that doggone navy blue folder... Greg... I think you are gonna have to send the whipped cream this a way. Not to worry folks... I HAF my VAYS... that dang blue folder doesn't have a chance! Off to prove my point... see y'all in the morning!
-
Sorry Becky Lee... Is that my hat you are making???? Oh wait... it appears that Greg has a more immediate need for one.
-
OMIGOD... laughing my chocolate scented buttocks off! My hubby says I am just talking the talk... hmmmm... he thinks I can't walk the walk! Dang... I can't believe I didn't think of whipped cream! MICHELLE... naughty... naughty... naughty... LOLOLOL. Fellas... just a wee glimpse into the way women talk... Christmas is coming... run out to the bath and body shop and pick up a jar to this stuf for your lovely wife... it smells like heaven! My hubby is presently talking to me about the details of benifits plans at the consulting company that will hopefully hire him now that he has been outsourced *sigh* maybe I will have ta try REAL chocolate.

Awesome Blossom! I had my SCD's off more than they were on... walked through the entire post-op night... finally left them off as I was tired of asking my hubby for help to reconnect them! Besides... I figured pacing up and down the halls would keep those clots from forming! Welcome to bandland! Darcy

Yee Haw Betty! I still remember adding REAL food back into my diet... it was heaven... warm or cold! I enjoy food much more than I ever did before... because I actually chew and taste it! Darcy
-
LOLOL... Zoe... I think you betta save some of that material for Marie to use for a towel. I know whatcha mean... I have enough material in my old clothes to blanket the state of Wisconsin!

Winter weather is rearing it's ugly head here... tis coooooold! I've been trying to keep my hands out of the cookie jar by quilting and so far it's working by gosh! I'm like a little kid wanting my drawing put up on the fridge... I'm still a newbie at quilting but I'm proud of my latest quilt! It's warm and soft and cushy... just like my man.
-
Teresa... you will be saving my ears from frostbite! If I took up another hobby right now my hubby would surely knock me in the head! I can't wait to have my very own adorable hat and I will be happy to pay for the materials... shipping... AND your precious time! Just think... we can all where our hats for a pic at the next bandster bash! Darcy

Holy Moly Betty! Great job! Congrats to Miss Lisa on the monthly loss! I remained the same this week... not surprised as I ate foods that contained oodles of salt for the past 2 days. I gotta wonder why I do that right before my weekly weigh-in? I've been active but not doing actual exercise... naughty... better get my butt moving again. Have a great week everyone! Darcy

Hi Lisa... tis not my first quilt... tis my first "rag" quilt but I have two other unfinished quilts awaiting my attention as well... hmmm... the rag quilts seem to be the only ones I finish...lol. I finished another one this morning! Off to the cabin I go... Darcy
-
Awww...thanks guys! Betty and THeresa... that's why I am so excited about this quilt... because I actually finished it...lol. Actually... with this pattern... you have to finish it. It's a rag quilt and you make the little quiltlets with the batting sewn in them and then sew it all together and snip the edges. It was a fun pattern and flannel is my favorite material! Becky... LOL... I DO have spyware that connects DIRECTLY to your ENTIRE kitchen! I never think of myself as an inspiration to anybody... so it tickles me to be yours! You... me and Theresa Marie... together at a bandster quilting bash... be there... or be square. Leatha... you can come and make sure the WILD quilters behave themselves! Penni... Sweetie... I am so glad if I did anything to make you feel even and eensy bit better! I know what you mean about Grandma's... mine was such a comfort to me... she was soft and cushy and I still remember being rocked by her. Of course... she also turned me into a little porker... but I still love memories of her! You are going to be okay Miss Penny because you have all of us here to love ya and help you through! Marie... when I started quilting 2 years ago... I had never touched a sewing machine and or needle and thread... so not sure if I am answering your question correctly? The quiltlets are joined with a straight stitch and a one inch seam... the seams on are then snipped in 1/2 to 3/4 increments. When you wash the quilt all of those cut seams fray and curl... I think it is an awesome look and I want to keep it... BADLY... but... I am going to give it to my dear Momma for Christmas. I am just finishing up on a second one that is for my step-daughter. As long as I give them away... I can rationalize the expense of the hobby..right? Zoe... AWESOME idea! I NEVER thought of that!!!! Lord knows one pair of pants could nearly back a quilt...hehehe. Leatha... I KNOW you have at least one creative bone in there... maybe your surgeon saw it with your last surgery??? Ask him... I bet he spied it in there! Okay... off to sew now that it is almost 4AM. Insomnia and quilting go hand and hand! DArcy

Whoops... must be a little too proud... that's a doggone big pic! Maybe this one...

((((Big Hugs)))) Life just isn't fair sometimes and you have had more than your share this year. We love you and I know that everyone has you in their thoughts and prayers! (((More Hugs))) Darcy -
Paula... You know what... I thought about this more today and guess what... time has already changed things. I used to worry constantly that I would do something to "wreck" my banding... make my band slip... etc... now I rarely think about that. I used to think about every bite I put in my mouth and have to really focus on chewing well... now it's just a habit. I used to manage one bit too much ALOT and end up with pain because I couldn't seem to heed the warning signs... now I just stop and throw what's left away. So... time is changing the way I relate to my band. I guess it's like being a diabetic... you can't forget, but tools to control the disease become part of your life. Miss Vera... I think Miss Nicci is feeling much better. SHe was still having problems after her surgery but I think that she is now on the mend. She looks absolutely awesome... I told her that she looks like she should be on the cover of ELLE. She really has had a tough time of it... I pray that her rough times have come to an end. My sister reached her weight-loss goal in less than six months after her surgery. Her recovery was awful and that helped me opt for the banding! She does have the dumping syndrome but has learned to eat around it a bit... she's coming up on her 2 year post-op anniversary and has gained back about 20% of her excess weight. Needless to say she is freaked about that and is trying to make the changes to stop the gain. She does say that she would still opt for the bypass but she is encouraging her hubby to go the banding route if he decides to have WLS.
