It's unfortunate... but chewing and digging are perfectly acceptable and correct behaviors in a dogs world... just not so appreciated in ours...lol. Mostly I think it's just a lot of fun for them... so when bored or full of energy...what could be more fun???? My brother has replanted his veggie garden 4 times now... his lab thinks he is awesome for giving hime such a grand digging opportunity! I think his name is the same as Paula's DDog.

Sherry... I opened up a seperate account at my bank for my Pay Pal account. Heck... my bank gave me 20 buck for opening it and there are no fees... can't beat that! I mostly buy on eBay but have sold some little and some big dollar items and had very few problems. I have to admit that I was a complete nervous wreck while selling my bigger dollar sewing machine... bit it all went off without a hitch! Ava has an auto-immune disease that was diagnosed at 8 months of age. It'a called masticatory myositis. Without treatment the muscles in the jaw atrophy and fibrosis sets in and eventually the jaw becomes locked shut. It was supposed to be a simple case of taking prednisone for a couple of months and voila... gone... however... she is still on the prednisone and her symptoms return every time we try and wean her off. Now... they think the prednisone is causing the stomach problems as all the testing turned up nada. So... where to go from here... no prednisone... locked jaw... but she can't be sick like this all of the time. *sigh* THis on the heels of putting our last shepherd down due to awful health problems that involved treatment with prednisone. Anyhoo... tis nobody's fault... just the luck of the draw I guess. I'm cooking her up some rice ... will mix it with a little turkey and see how she does.

Hi Mandy... Your Baby is really beautiful! Maybe try going out with her when you let her out and throw a ball for awhile... and then come back in with her. You could make a special digging pit made with sand and bury different prizes ... kongs filled with treats... bones... etc. You can also hide prizes around the yard to keep her busy. Maybe put a kiddy pool for her to splash in too. THis is a gross option... but sometiems it works... you can put some of her poo in the hole that she digs and then cover with dirt... she shouldn't like finding that when she digs. It sounds like she is going to need lots of exercise to keep her mind calm! As far as potty training... I know she has been caged a lot... but after pottying outside... bring her in... play... and then kennel. Wait an hour... let her outside and wait until she goes... come back in... play... kennel. Most dogs like having a kennel/ safe place. THe goal would be for her to have little opportunity for an accident in the house and all the opportunity to build the habit for going outside. Praise... treat and have a darn party everytime she goes outside. Good Luck! There is a pit bull at our humane society where I volunteer... her name is Sweat Pea and that's exactly what she is! I can't believe she hasn't found a home yet!

Wowza Paula... you look awesome and I agree with Eileen... looks more like 130 pounds! I love the pics of the girls playing in the dirt... I never grew out of that joy... I still love playing in the dirt. Donna.... Looking absolutely fabulous girl! You sparkle in the picture with your son.

Morning  Sherry... I LOVE people watching and it sounds like that was the perfect revenue for that! Eileen... You are going to bein onederland before you know it! I think I am going to have to risk another fill... I just don't have enough restriction. Father's Day used to really bother me right after my father's death... but now it has settled into a day to remember. He wasn't a huge part of my life but I loved him and he was a charming and funny man. I hope you have a good day with you FIL and with the memories of your father. (((Hugs))) Well... Miss Ava's temp is down from 104 to 103 this morning. Last time this happened her temp was 105. She seems a bit perkier and took a few ice chips and isn't heaving everytime she moves. The emergency vet is 75 dollars just for a visit and then there will be blood tests... IV's and medications... so I think we are just going to keep watching her. It just seems she has one illness after another... very taxing emotionally and financially. TTFN

Hiya ladies... Randi... Welcome and I love your name... especially speaking as a woman that gets mail addressed to Mr. Darcy all of the time...lol. My name is a boy/girl name but the two are spelled differently... my dorky parents spelled mine the boys way! I didn't struggle that much prior to being banded ... mostly beacuse I watched my sister go through the bypass and was much to big of a chicken to go that route. Good luck! Eileen... glad you lived throught he ole pokedy poke! I can't imagine with all of the search and manipulation that I could ever tolerate it without numbing meds! Nice picture and you really are a lucky little lass... meeting everyone while we are all stuck in cyberland! You both look beautiful! Kat... Hang in there girl... I know all of the crapola with the insurance company nearly drives my hubby over the edge... stinkin poop heads! THe art of saying no... a wonderful gift to yourself... it's okay...people will still love ya! Patty... Hey girl... it's still a victory... it's a step in the right direction!!!! Yay! Anne... My gawd woman... that is too many children!!!!! I would be sitting in a corner babbling if I had that many to watch over for even 2 hours! Donna... Sounds like that's what your DS needed... a firm hand... hopefully he will find happiness and success in the end. Have fun at the beach! Rene... I ADORE working in the yard... but it's just too dang hot this weekend! I have a redbud that looks pretty sad this year too and it's only been in the ground for 2 years! Have fun! Cindy... I am really looking forward to the new avatar! You all have said such sweet things about mine... I'm in a constant state of "Stop it some more...quit it again!" Hope you had fun shopping for your DH... I needed to take my DD out tonight and now she is going to a graduation party... dang... procrastination is my middle name! Mary... LMAO ... bushwhacker! hehehehe... I am definitely going for the skirt down to my knees so I HOPEFULLY won't need to get the mower out. Good for you getting that suit... your kids are going to love playing in the water with their mom! My daughter is always begging me to go swimming with her. SHame on me for being such a chicken and missing out on that great opportunity! Well... Still palpatating away... it's depressing AND... I keep eating to make myself feel better!!!! THe crappy part is eating makes it worse and I still keep trying it...lol. My Pup is sick again today... she threw up all over herself in the kennel this morning and is weak and continues to gag even though there is nothing in her stomach. I don't know what to do... she was absolutely fine Friday... and this is exactly what happened the last time she was sick and they never determined why it happened. Apparently the prednisone can cause episodes like this but her vet is out of town...of course. I want to call the emergency vet... but hubby wants to wait... we are coming to the end of the line financially for my girl. THink I'll go have a good cry about it.... all this in a dog that is just a year old. Sorry to be a big bummer guys...

Wiat...Wait... i forgot to say how cute Patty's boys are and how gorgeous she is! Oh... and Eileen... the hubby certainly looks like a keeper... great picture!

Cute Damn Dog Paula  Susie is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute... gawd I'm a sucker for a cute pooch. BEAUTIFUL colt and Mare! No Ideas for a name but I bet the perfect one will come to you as you watch his personality grow! Wowza ladies... Hot stuff!!!! You both look so beautiful!

Patty... sorry the end of the school year is becoming such a ball of stress for you. Let the stuff go that isn't improtant and don't beat yourself up if everything isn't perfect. Maybe let go of the band fight until after all of the school end things are over with???? I think you definitely should go and have the works done... get a fresh cut... maybe a pedicure and a manicure... pamper yourself for an afternoon.. you deserve a few hours of "no stress allowed" time! When I read your post I thought of that picture with the kitten hanging from the tree limb ready to fall... "Hang in there baby"!

Morning guys... Just wanted to pop in and let ya know I'm thinking about y'all! Kat... man... that is going to be a tough wait but it sounds like it really is best to wait... I'm so glad the doctor is right on top of that clot issue! Eilleen... I think alfalfa is cute... freckles and all! I love having short hair but I feel safer with the longer hair covering up more of my face. Still... it really feels good now that it's gone. Last summer I really whacked it.... couldn't even use a curling iron! MAry... Glad they figured out what was happening with your co-worker... sheesh... sometimes it takes short of a club to get people to see things! I wish we could get one of those free standing pools for my DD... maybe one day we'll just put in a above ground pool for all of us. Betty.... Sorry about the Mavs... hopefully they will play better next time! Hope your head and back are feeling better? Sherry... Congrats on being a model bandster... that's no small feat! Donna... Congrats on the Heat win... even if it wasn't for the right reasons. Anne... I think the same twister hit here... wide spread distruction in every room of the house...lol. Dianne... good luck with the 3 day diet... hope you see the results you are hoping for! Feeling puny again today... stupid palpitations were non-stop for the last two days and they are finally gone this morning... whew! If it starts again today... I am walking in to the docs office with my mouth loaded... ready to shoot. Okay... better get ready... meeting the sis and her brady bunch for a picnic at the park and a little walk through our weensy zoo. Have a great day everyone...
-
Hey girlies... Yup Eileen... I wrote a note on the journal that I was sick in bed for most of the monitoring time. I did do a walking video today... and forced myself on the scale and by some miracle... I am still 224 lbs...WHEW! THen... went and got my hair chopped off and highlighted... AHHHHH... bet that was a couple of pounds lost! Going to get back on track... off to the circuit in the morning! My leg seems to be healed from the slug days so that is good! Sorry no personals... I'll try and catch up soon. Pic of the new hair ...don't laugh!!!!

Hey Guys... Wow... it sure is easy to get behind on our busy little thread! Eileen... know just how you feel with the cold... sucks (or blows) big time! I think the Holter monitor will end up being a bust as I was sick in bed for the majority of the time. Oh well... Now I am back to normall ADL's and having palpitations up the ying yang. WTH! Tis Murphy's Law. Feel like a slug as I haven't exercised since I got this dang cold... scared I won't get back into it! I feel the weight coming back on as I am eating like the average Mr. Ed. WILLLLBBBBBUUUURRRRRR!!! I need a fill... just scared to get another one and risk having probs again. At least it was a beautiful crisp cool weekend at the cabin. Betty... I won't get the results until July... unless of course something dreadful shows up...lol... at least I would hope they would give me a ring in that case. Must go... hubby awaits... ((((hugs))))

Hey Guys... Cindy... I did get your email... but I get so much junk that I thought it was bogus...lol... no harm... I got it back out of my deleted items! Hey... I am a bit confused???? THey are already the perfect size for posting... did you want them to be smaller yet... or were you just having trouble posting them? I have a raging cold virus today... so my head feels like it could explode... that could explain my confusion...lol. Anne... I had given up coffee because this was getting so uncomfortable... but I had some this morning just so they could see what happens and darned if I haven't had a single episode of the palpitations or chest pressure...lol... figures. Dianne... good luck with starting off on the right foot! No results... still in the process of being monitored. Sorry... know I m leaving most of you out... think I need to go lay down with tissue shoved up my nose...lol. TTFN

Patty... I'm praying for Robbie and his family... they must be so scared. I just feel so very thankful that my child has been healthy up to this point and I pray that continues. Sorry about the continued drama for getting your approval... I'd be blowing my top by now! Keep those fans blowing and stay on everyone until you get that date!

Hey Guys... I hate it when I get behind in personals... can I just start fresh...lol. Becky... THe FitDay idea sounds good... I started righting down my caloric intake and decided I really wasn't ready to see what an oinker I'm being. GO MAVS... GO HEAT... may the BEST team win! PattyU... I am almost 2 years out and I have had trouble keeping fills in my band... BUT... if I had not gotten the band I have no doubt that I would weigh well over 300 lbs by now. Even though I had a pretty big regain during my unfilled period it's nice that the band is still in my body ready to help me as much as it can. My sister had the bypass and she is 3 years out and having just as big of issues with weight regain so neither surgery is a Guarantee... as Cindy said... they are both tools. I so wish at times that I had had the bypass only because I would have loved to have experienced a skinny moment... even if it would have been temporary. In the long run I still think this was the healthiest choice for me. I just couldn't face the risks for the bypass and the re-routing. Good luck with your decision! Dianne... I love the soy crisps but all of the soy stuff leaves an aftertaste that makes me want to hurl...lol.. I should eat them more often. Are you weighing everyday???? Quit it girl if you are...lol. I know you will be in Onederland very soon! Donna... That is so true... I always think anything that is wrong with my stomach must be band related...lol. Hope you feel better soon in all of this HEAT. Eileen... Sorry about your DD... hope the problem turns out to be something simple! Keep us updated! My daughter is a bit of worrier... she comes to me with so many aches and pains that I will probably "poo poo" a real problem one of these days! Cindy... I'm comin over for dinner. :Banane13: Let us know if the movie is good... sounds like a book I would enjoy... I'm always looking for good titles to search on eBay for. Patty... Did you get approval yet????????? Anne... You have such a great outlook for all of the probs you have had... I sure admire your spunk and positive attitude! Well... I'm all hooked up to wires and caring around my monitor for the 48 hour holter test. I feel like a "Borg" (sp?). I've of course only had two episodes of the palpatations since having it put on and they were both very brief. I am going to wait until tomorrow afternoon before doing strenuous exercise just so that I don't sweat the Patches off. Heck... maybe I'll have a cup o jo so they have a little something to look at...lol. I'm scheduled for a treadmill stress test the end of this month... doc didn't like that my heart-rate jumps up into the 200's when I jog. Anyhoo... I'm sure that a little beta-blocker would take care of the whole business but I'll jump through the testing hoops. Well... DD's last day of school so we are going out to dinner to Celebrate... she is sooooooooooooooooo glad that summer vacation is here! Oh... and yesterday I spent another 225 bucks on my dog Ava... *sigh* going to have to change her name to the Six Million Dollar Dog. It's supposed to be a beautiful cool weekend... I can hardly wait to get up to the cabin! TTFN

Awww Man Anne... I am sooooooooooooooooooo sorry!!!! Hopefully this is the last glitch in your journey! If you are like me you are going to have a helluva a bruised belly from all of those pokes! (((Hugs)))

Funny Donna... I was just folding a fitted sheet a couple of days ago and had many of the same thoughts! Of course... they didn't last for long... it only took a second to create the sheet ball that is a different shape with every folding. Kathy... Halarious! My daughter's room is Rated WTHITB (Where The Hell Is The Bed) as well. She actually squirrels dirty clothes under her covers... and then wonders why she doesn't have any clean clothes when I am finished with the laundry... goofuss.
-
Hey Anne... Been there... (((Hugs))) Good luck with you fill... crossing my fingers that this one will give you a bit of restriction! Without restriction it would be pretty darn normal to have weight gain unless a fairy sprinkled you with magic dust that took away the issues leading to being banded in the first place. Let us know how it goes!
-
Ooooohhhhh Mary... I love that dress!!!! I think we need a picture of you in the dress! Pat... Good to see you and the little frog was helpless in the face of all my charms. Donna... I am lovin watching the little rivalry between the teams. Sherry... Honestly... I am the poster child for the type of complications that can occur from approaching fills too quickly. Funny thing was... I wanted to go slow... the P.A. is the one that wanted to start me out with a big slam of 2cc's. Long story short... slow would have save us all a lot of pain and trouble. Go slow... and it sounds like that is exactly what you are doing. :Banane35: Kat... If you are not able to get the pictures posted... email them to me and I will resize them for you and mail them back to you or post them for you if you would like. :Banane35: Becky Lee... Luv Ya girl... hang in there until that next fill... you've done a wonderful job with a band that has been empty more than it has been filled! (((Hugs))) Ta Ta...
