Hey Guys... Having a slumber party... 5 age 14 year olds...lol. Wee took them to the skating rink which was a bust as apparently only the lil squirts skate during the day... the BIG kids do the night skate. Oh well! We picked up the girls while wearing our flashing Rudolph noses... they were not amused...hehehehe. Anyhoo... they are busy watching the second Pirates movie and oohing and ahhing over Jack. THey are munching on Popcorn and I hope to have them shoving pizza in next...lol... they are much quieter with food in their mouths...hehehehe. ((((hugs))))

Eileen... I'm so sorry about your friend... I am very glad his wife has a friend like you to lean on... many prayers are being sent to you both.

Cindy... My hubby was just talking about how they used to do the cranberries and popcorn strings at his grandparents... I think we will definitely do that next year! His Grandmother died this weekend and so I brought out all of her old ornaments and left the new ones in the basement... those with all of our old ornaments look beautiful and it was the best tribute I could come up with. I wish I would have known her when she was younger... she was 95 and nolonger remembered anyone. My favorite soung is also O Holy Night... and Josh give me goose bumples. Went to the surgeon today to discuss removing my band. We removed what was supposed to be 1 cc... there was 2cc's... no wonder I have been having troubles. Anyhoo...we are going to wait a month and then try again. I gained 10 more pounds from my last visit. Anne... Congrats... Glad the scale is moving for ya! Did you let the popcorn get a little stale before stringing???? Just wondering as I have never tired it. Beanie... SOrry about your trip being cancelled... it's better you stay and play with us. Cassandra .... Being overfilled form the start has caused so many problems with my band... it's better to go slow even though everything in ya will tell you to go fast. Hope you feel better soon. Kat... I sure hope my daughter can avoid going through divorce... Lord knows the one between her Dad and I has been rough on her. It has to be tough to stand back and watch it all happen. Morning All Kat... I'm glad your gd had a good birthday ... ahhhh... I still remember when b-days were a good thing! I know one thing...the older I get the faster the darn b-days seem to come...lol. Anyhoo... we are definitely of the impression that although their cars seems to be of good quality for the most part... the service sucks and a big warranty is only as good as the service they are willing to provide. WHat does a person do when they just say the problem doesn't exist? Anyhoo... we will be covering it with pretty lemons...contacting the BBB and Consumer affairs and then a lawyer. It nearly stooped itself in the middle of the roadway with the Ass man in the passenger seat and he looked me right in the eye and said... "I don't feel anything abnormal". My advice... NEVER buy a Hyundai. It's been a complete nightmare. I hate the van and we are considering trading it in and eating the loss because we feel it is unsafe to drive. Hopefully we will go cut a tree tomorrow... tired of using the fake one... need to smell the pine. Sorry didn't do personals for everyone... ya know I am thinking of you though! Mandy... Hey Guys... Sorry I have been a dud lately. "bonks self on the head" Still having problems with the new van. (NEVER BY A HYUNDAI) Still gaining weight (ALmost up to what I was pre-surgery) and quite frankly... I'm pretty darned cranky about both. I think I'll go and eat some worms............... with whipped cream........................................ and chocolate sauce. I really do read all of your posts and I love every single one of ya and I celebrate every victory and happy moment. (((hugs)))

Morning All... I hope everyone had a very Happy THanksgiving! I am generally restricted only one week a month and this is it... could eat a darned thang...lol. Oh well...was a still a wonderful time with my hubby's family. How many Jersey girls besides Sherry are crazy enough to be out in the shopping madness today???? Not Me! Have fun to all that brave the lines...crowds... and cold! Betty... I am going to hand quilt but it will be a primitive stitch so it probably wont take too terribly long. I took a hand quilting class that teaches the tiiiinnnny stitches and that is just not gonna happen...lol. Most people send their quilts out to be quilted now... but I refuse... for now...lol. Needless to say a have an unfinished quilt top or two. Pat...LOL... I am a multi-tasker! I sure hope you are back to feeling better and being sassy soon! I imagine the special person that will get the quilt will be me. It was a labor of love... not sure I could let it go. Oh... and playing Canasta on PoGo taught me well enough to play with the family last night... although I still sucked. OKay...sorry I can't do personals... again... have to go pack up the car for a day of sewing with my sister and a good friend. HAve a great weekend everyone!

HEHEHEHEHEHEHE... I had the WORST stomach ache when I got back from the retreat.... only the Lord (and my roomies) know how musical my hinder got during the night...lol. Sherry... I'll take some pictures when I get a few more blocks done on this quilt... I think its a variation of a Trip Around the World? My first quilt was the first time I ever touched a sewing machine and that was 5 years ago. I only started seriously quilting over the past 2 years. I am branching out this year and trying to sew other types of things. Hope your pup has given up riding the waves on your pool cover. THis is my first hand applique quilt ... of course it is still waiting to be quilted...lol.

Hey Guys... I'm back from my first quilting retreat ....AHHHHHHHHHHH.... it's good to be home. Missed you all and am glad to be back where I can fart weith free abandon. Pat... My hubby probably spent the whole time I was away on the the computer playing on my PoGo... he's too cheap to pay for another membership. I keep tellin him he better say hi if any of you pop into a room he is playing in. Anyhoo... Twasnt me. Mandy... Congrats on your new kitty... how perfect is that Mickey spot! Hey guys... just wanted to stop in and say hi. I'm almost done with my training and the hours needed at the humane society... yay! Then I just need to take the final exam. I'm going on a quilting retreat starting this Thursday and won't be back until Sunday so I am rushing to get everything done. Had to go shopping to buy clothes that will fit over my fat a$$... get my hair cut. Thank gawd that long sweaters are finally coming back in! I also bought some make-up and fruffed my hair up and made the decision to be happy with what I have instead of pining for what I had hoped for. I'm sure that once I finish this bottle of wine I'll look pretty good to myself...lol Anyhoo... not sure if I'll ever catch up on personals but you are all on my mind and I am lmao reading the fart stories. Hey All... Mandy... I am sooooo sorry for you loss... death is so hard on those of us left behind. I know that I have been so sick that I almost wished for death and so I imagine your sweet boy is happy to be free of the little body that was so ill. (((hugs))) Eileen... I wouldn't wait long for that MRI. You are the one walking around in constant pain... get a second opinion if needed. In regards to the physical therapy... most of what they did when I had back issues was very tolerable. They did heat therapy and a some very gentle exercises. It did help a little but I also was not in severe pain when I started the therapy. If your nerve is being compressed that is nothing to mess around with... the squeeky wheel gets the oil... make some noise girl. (((Hugs))) Betty... OMIGOD... that is awful about your brother! I pray that he heals quickly and that he can find the strength to leave the cigs alone... I sure know how hard that is. Puppies are so sweet... but sometimes we forget that they really are wolves in sweet breed specific clothing. I imagine if Ava was in a fight with another dog that my first instinct would be to separate them... I hope the other side of my brain would lead me to the water hose or a horn on a car or something else to distract. Hopefully I will never have to find out. Patty... Sorry about the troubles with school. My sister has a son that has a cognative disability that is yet to be diagnosed and she has been down to the school several times this year already. He is in K and is supposed to have a parapro (sp?) assigned to help him... HA... that didn't happen until she went down there with her claws out...lol. Anyhoo... on the bright side... he can now write his name (Ian) which was his goal for the school year. Keep on fighting for your boys... it will make a difference! Anne... It is so good to see you! Unfortunately... your post is not on this page for my old brain to review and now I can't remember a dadgum thing you said...lol. Getting old sucks. Beanie... Hope your neck feels better soon! She had a huge indoor pool to go along with the sprawling mansion. WoW. Anyhoo... I was glad to get home to my cozy little bungalow and snuggle into my cozy somewhat tattered couch. Mary...Sorry about the fish... maybe you can run down to petco and get another one for the kidlettes? I just can't keep a fish alive to save my soul. I remember having a little funeral for my first fish that died when I was in the 4th grade... many more graveside services followed. I finally gave up and switched to mammals. Patty... Glad your Mom is home safely from Holland and hope you hear some good news from the lawyer soon! Okay... must get busy and get all of my pots in from outside before they freeze and break! It is REALLLLLYYYY nippy here. We didn't go to the cabin this weekend because the weather was just too icky and Chucks son came home unexpectedly on Navy leave. My hubby got on the scale yesterday... Eileen... so sorry you are having so much pain!!!!! I pray that time will fly for your appointment on Monday. You may just have to keep your tushy parked on a heating pad all weekend and let the hubby do all of the work. So sorry about your sweet kitty... I have three and even thought they are all a little whacky their cute little noggins... it would be very hard to lose one of them. (((Hugs))) Kat... Oh man... the coughing would having me a little freaked too... hope RIck feels better soon and that his facial hair returns soon! My hubby started to grow a mustache at one point... it looked funky so I begged him to stop the process immediately! I still love the van... but they haven't called yet with the solution for the problem... it's still driving me crazy so I hope they call soon! Eileen...How's the back girly???? Hope you are on the mend OR... enjoying pain killers and muscle relaxants. Patty... How's the hip today???? I used to get sciatic nerve pain that sounds a lot like you are describing... Advil 800 mg every 6hrs, rest and a heating pad were the only things that helped. Hope the pain has taken a hike as I know you have a very busy life to attend to! Dianne... GLad you found some reading that is helping you find a little peace. Life isn't always a picnic... but most of the time it is a pretty big gift. (((hugs))) I am always more restricted when I am stressed and find that I PB more often during stressful times... when that happens I go back to a soft diet with foods similar to the mushy liquid stage and give my esophagus a little break. Beanie... Slow and steady is the way to go but I sure understand the frustration! Keep up the fight girl... you are doing great! Betty... Girl... I really think you are going to have to consider surgery... I can't imagine that having surgery would leave you with a worse situation then you already have with your foot. I would rec. that you get a second and maybe even a third opinion. It never hurts to see what othere options another Doc my offer. I'm feeling good... wishing I had a cig to puff on about now...lol... no worries... after this long I wouldn't dare relapse! I go in to have my thyroid hormone levels checked in Nov. We'll see if then if the radioactive iodine is killing off my gland. Mary... Sorry about the fish... hope it recovered! Giving me a fish is pretty much like signing their death warrant... gauranteed flush city...lol. Chris... Glad your port site is healing up well... it's never a good feeling when one has an open draining wound. Sounds like you are taking good care of it and I'm sure it will be all healed up in no time! I think a lot of peoples bodies respond to stress with weight gain... guess it goes back to the days when stress was generally coupled with a decrease in food availability???? I should live a stressful life because mine seems to do the opposite??? I have always been backwards...lol.
