LOL Cindy... *ducking* so I don't get hit in the "fly by" posting. :welldone: Went to the Y again last night... not much working out but we will go again tonight as my daughter has her teen on weights class. It's just been awesome being out of the house in the evening! I am majorly hypothyroid right now so that is prob why I have been so depressed and gaining the freaking tons of weight. Anyhoo... starting on thyroid replacement andLexapro so hopefully I'll be back to "normal" before long. Mary... I sure hope you feel better soon now that you are on meds. Patty... Soon you will be bouncing in here busting with excitement to tell us your surgery date... I just know it! (((Hugs))) Kat...WTG on the exercise girl! Irene... You will have the 5 pounds off before you know it... and believe me girl... I sure do understand weight regain! As far as the Y goes... I wouldn't have done this in a million years without my hubby along. I am the biggest chicken ever in social situations. I have to literally force myself to look at the people that surround me. My own mother could walk past me and I probably wouldn't see her due my inner terror...lol. THe funny thing is that I am such a clown once I am comfortable in a social group... *shrug*. ANhyhoo... (((hugs))) have a good day all... -

Hey Sherry.. I may have to check into the Reiki as I can really be a redhead at times as well! I haven't been a happy camper these days so maybe it's time for me to figure out a journy for myself. I can't remember who sings the song... but the one line has been running over and over in my head this week... "If you want to be somebody else...change your mind". As far as the dog situation... I hurt my knee the end of November so all of that has been on hold... it's feeling better so need to get back on it. ANyhoo... I really thank you for the positive vibes you put forth... (((hugs))) CHris... GLad you are all moved and away from that creepy guy! Betty... I am so glad you and you hubby helped that woman... I always figure that if somebody asks for food... they really must be hungry or they would just ask for money. I bet doing that probably made you feel as warm as that hot chocolate made her feel. Eileen... Hope your weekend was fun as well as busy! Well...here we go... another week. My hubby managed to save some of my files off of my hard drive but lost a good deal of everything...lol. Oh well! It was a good lesson. Have to go discuss my ole thyroid with the doc this morning... hopefully it's dead and we can start the thyroid replacement. We go for the first session at the YMCA Personal FItness Program tonight so that should be interesting. I was sore in the oddest places after using that elliptical trainer on Sat. I think that is probably a good thing... at least I was sore for doing something! Hope you all have a great week! -

Everyone must be busy this weekend! Just came in to tell y'all that my Hubby and I went to the Y for the first time this afternoon... I was really uncomfortable ... but it helped that I wasn't alone. We actually had a pretty good time once we relaxed a bit. TTFN -

Morning All.. Chris...YAY..hope moving day goes well! Eileen...She put me on Cymbalta (sp?) but that ended up being what was making me so nauseated and with stomach pain... so I am on nothing until I see her Monday. So glad your work eval turned out betta than you were fearing! I would have hated to have to come there and give your boss an attitude adjustment! Cindy.. Don't know... nothing was really going on when it happened... it just froze and I had to shut it down from the tower... never saw it again...lol. Hubby has been working for hours trying to salvage any files he can off of the crashed hard drive... lost a lot of pictures... and some other documents and Outlook contacts and saved emails... etc... also my favorites in Explorer... BUT... some of those things are also on my Lap Top so at least not all is lost. I can't wait to see your family pic! Mandy... Sorry bout Barley... hope you are able to work things out with him! Irene...Glad the fill is going as planned... You'll be hitting an alltime low on your scale soon! Anne...Benn there ...done that...hope to see you back soon. Kat...good luck with the UNdecorating. We have all of the inside stuff down and packed but still have to tackle the outside. Betty... How'd everything go with the big shot???? Hang in there with the sweets. SHerry... Hugs... Your tree should be easy to pack away right???? You weren't able to find all of your decorations before right???? Now that will pay off...lol. Have a good weekend... I think I will drag the hubby to the Y for our first stab at a healthier life. -

LoL Jules... My hubby buys lottery tickets when the jackpot gets REALLY big. He got the powerball number last night, I think... woo hoo... 3dollaronaires. Irene... be careful... it is never usually good to be that restricted after a fill... at least not in my case... my restriction levels always got tighter as the days passed. I hope it ends up being the perfect fill for you... but sometime a smidge out can really make all the difference. Still sickie here... was feeling better then bammo... last night... nausea... headache... sore raw throat... bummer. I guess the good part is that I don't feel like eating. -

Hey All... Kat... hope everything finally went down okay and *high five* for getting on the treadmill! Jules... My Hubby would definitely enjoy a visit from you ...especially if it were to be work related. Honestly... I just have to admire you and anyone else that that has the ability to take education that far... wowza. Cindy... SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sorry you are sick on your first official day of retirement! Still... it must have been nice not have to call in though! Hope you feel better soon. Sherry... Bummer about the hip issue... Hope your visit to the snap cracle pop doc helps. Your posts always come across with a happy feel to them...even when I know you must be sitting there thinking... DANG... my hip hurts! Kat... Car issues just suck...lol. Mine still isn't fixed and I doubt it ever will unless there is a complete failure of the transmission at some point. We had a sensor light for the ABS system that came on on our dodge... there was nothing wrong as per the dealer... and we got to were we didn't even notice it anymore. You hubby is right though...trading it in will get rid of that light...lol. Mary... So sorry you are sick... hope you feel better soon and I know that life will start throwing good stuff your way really soon. (((hugs))) Anne... I've always wanted one of those grills... let me know if you keep right on liking it and I may have to run out and get one! Dianne... Cookies are a big downfall for me too... they just seem to go down sooooooooooooooo easy! Ice cream is my worst downfall... I bought skinny cow ice cream sandwiches today and hopefully I'll be able to stick to just one when I have that yen. Wow... that is a really nice co-worker you have,,, how wonderful... the personal trainer for ours is really expensive! Still have the crud today but at least was able to get my but out and about... started on a new medication for depression today... hopefully that in combination with increased exercise will help. Catch ya later... -
Love the pics!!! Cindy... Jules... Irene... You all look beautiful! Dianne... LOVE that picture... your tree... your smile and that pretty blouse... pretty!

Hello from Northwest Wisconsin
nightingale2u replied to deb4339's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi Deb... I live in Oshkosh Wisconsin but did not have my surgery in Mexico. I would encourage you to make sure there is a surgeon nearby that is willing to handle your after care. My surgeon was Dr. Chua in Milwaukee and he was willing to handle the aftercare of patients that wnet to Mexico for their procedure but only if they went through the entire nutritional and psych eval through his office first. Wishing you all the best with your journey.... -

Hey Cindy... I'm always up for a chat... let me know when and where. (((hugs))) back atcha. Hope you guys have a great meeting today... I sure wish I could come! Mandy... Adorable and really... I love the name Barley... mostly because I have never run into a dog with that name before. Eileen... chocolate fountain... drooling here. Chris... Happy New Year to you too. Joined the YMCA today... we went on a tour of both places and they both scared the HE Double Hockey Sticks outta me but I'm desperate. At least it looked like a wide variety of people types. Hope the sun is shining on everyone today. -

Happy New Year Wishes to you all!!! Eileen and Dianne... You are both so beautiful!
-
Hey All... May your holiday be filled with love, family and joy. (((hugs))) Cindy... WTG girl... 80 pounds is absolutely fantabulous!
-
Cindy... Didn't say you'll get over it... but will say you are going to love being able to focus a lot more attention on your family and yourself. Nope... it quit and I'm sure it will melt away before Christmas... but it was beautiful to watch. I really do hate how cold the winters usually get here but there is a California girl in me that is thrilled by every snowfall. When I was a single Mom... living on a corner lot with sidewalks up the ying yang and was working 12 hour shifts that generally worked out to 13 or 14 hours... I would come home dog tired... and it would be snowing...and I would be shoveling and crying all at the same time... I still thought the fluffy crap was beautiful...lol.
-
Yep...they are supposed to be used as a decorative screen for a fireplace.
-
My sister made them for me. She's awesome. She made the snowmen on top of the entertainment center too.
-
So... the tree is up and it is finally snowing... now who is going to put all this stuff away...hehehehe.
-
Kat... you guys look adorable!
-
Still snowing

Hey Guys... I just have to say that I am pretty darned bummed that we are having a wet and warm Christmas. Every year it seems to get warmer and warmer??? Poor hunters can't hardly get any snow for tracking. Anyhoo... listening to it pour down and wishing I could look out and see fluffy flakes instead. Shoot... it's like being back in California for the holidays! Basically all finished wrapping... now just have to make a b-day cake for my daughter for our family gathering on Christmas Eve day. She'll be with her Dad on her B-day on Christmas Day. Still have to plan the menu for our party on the 28th but a Honey Bake Ham arrived at my door yesterday (Not a clue who it is from?) so that will definitely be served! I've enjoyed being unfilled... scheduled to go in on the 29th and will have to decide what to do ... fill or forgetaboutit. Mary... So glad everything is okay with your band, (((hugs))) Betty... Still having stomach issues even with the unfill... I imagine I will have my band removed eventually. Anyhoo... Are you getting snow???? Eileen... Still in your PJ's? Kat... Girl... you look awesome and you sure as heck have a lot of energy! COme help me with my party???? Cindy... How's retirement suiting you so far????? I remember I bawled all of the way home after my last day of work... I got over that...lol. Mandy... Sounds like you can kick butt and take names later...lol. I'll be letting you loose on Hyundai for me soon...lol. Irene... Hope those antibiotics have kicked in! Dianne... GLad you are feeling a wee bit better... You'll be smiling and laughing soon! OMIGOSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... IT"S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Patty... Hang in there girl... do whatcha can and let go of the things you can! Okay...have to go watch the snow just in case it doesn't last... been depressed and I know this will help me smile... Love ya all... Darcy

Hey Cindy... Hope you were able to munch on lunch while you were typing! Yeah... the girl is at least able to sip water now... poor sweetie... there really is just nothing worse than the stomach flu. You would think as a nurse I could handle cleaning up barf but I even gagged when I had to empty basins in the hospital. Show me an open draining wound and I'm facinated... a little bit of erp and I'm hanging over the bowl...lol. Sherry... 9 BOYS?????? Are ya crazy???? LOL... Em had 8 last year and I made her cut it down to 5 (including her). It may get cut to 3 next year...lol. They finally pooped out around 3 AM... whew! Kat... I can't imagine what it is like waiting for the results of a biopsy... scary stuff. I have spent a lot of time worrying about death and dying this year... not sure why. I pray that your friend will get good news with her biopsy results and if not... I am so glad she has a caring friend like you. Beannie... I can't see your post on this page so I'll have to go back and read after I'm done... sending hugs for all that you are going through right now. Hope the docs figure out what is causing such a longterm fever and that they get you on the road to recovery soon! Chris... Congrats! Okay...off to do chores... will have to do more catching up when a little later today.

Hey All... Couldn't keep enough food in the girls... they were too busy bouncing off of the walls... thank goodness they were in the basement! My daughter complained of stomach pain last night and then... ALLLLLLL Over her bed and floor... EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. Bless her heart... she was sick most of the night and I was gagging and nearly barfing as well while cleaning up. Anyhoo... Love you all... Hope everyone has a great week... Kat... having health problems is terribly depressing... hopefully your hubby will start feeling better soon. (((hugs))) Betty... You are burning tons of calories working on that yard... and I can almost smell those cookies baking. Pat must be busy with all of her elfing duties . Patty... You'll be scheduling that surgery date before you know it! Sorry about all of the sick kiddies at school... I guess viruses do a lot of shopping for hosts this time of year! Anne... I asked this on the picture thread... but where did you get those stocking hangers? Not forgetting everyone else... I will bbl...need to go check on my dd. (((hugs)))
-
SHerry....You look beautiful and while the rest of you is shrinking... that twinkle in your eyes and smile keeps getting bigger and bigger! It looks like you and your Mom have a special connection... CHOCOLATE. Anne... Love your tree and where did you get those stocking holders????
