    Too tight??

I got my 4th fill 2 weeks ago. I could drink the eater in the office and was able to eat that night. Since the day after I am REALLY tight. I'm not sure if this is the restriction I'm supposed to feel...? I've lost 8 lbs since the fill. I was banded in early Sept and had lost 15 lbs, but jumped up to 23 after the fill. I'm happy with the loss but I'm unable to keep down most foods. I'm basically on a liquid/very mushy diet. I can do smoothies, Soups, very soft cheese in small amounts, some noodles in the Soup if I really really really chew, no veggies staying down, no fruits unless blended, no meat will stay down. Most food is a joke - I huck it back up with a bunch of slime after 20 seconds. I'm losing at a great rate since the last fill, but worried about my nutrition. I feel myself getting really tired around 3:30pm each day. My skin feels pretty dry and my hair feels a little more brittle. Went skiing this weekend, had half a glass of Protein smoothie and a few bites of soup all day, wasn't hungry but felt so weak I had to stop skiing at about 2:30pm (only lasted 5 hours!) I'm not sure how much PBing is "normal". I PB every time I eat no matter what I'm eating. I talked to the nurse at my docs office and she said to "stick it out" until my next fill appointment... I just feel like I can't really eat anything at all...? But I'm losing and isn't that the point???

    Too tight??

I guess I was just unsure of whether or not this was what it was supposed to feel like, especially since the nurse told me to stick it out...
  4. Been been lurking for a while, finally posting! I was banded on 9/4/12. I lost 8 lbs pre-op and only 7 more since. I had my first fill las week, not really noticing a difference.... Only 15 lbs altogether since mid-August.... I feel like I'm failing AGAIN. I see others losing 60 lbs in the first 6 weeks, I haven't even lost 20 since this process started. I failed weight watchers, and all the other "diets" which Is why I wanted to get banded, and now I'm failing this too... I feel like I wasted a ton of money on this surgery... Almost $9,000 for 15 lbs? I don't know what to do...

    Frustrated...

Thank you all do much for the encouragement and the information. It's hard not to compare myself to others. I know everybody is different and every BODY is different and that I can't compare my situation to others'. I am going to try increasing my exercise - I don't do enough now. I am going to go for an extra bike ride each week for sure. Also it will be ski season soon which will add hours and hours of excersize each weekend! :-) Again, thank you all for the positive reinforcement and good advice. It is greatly appreciated.

    Frustrated...

I started at 5'5" and 235 lbs. I guess seeing everyone's numbers compared to mine makes me feel like I'm not doing enough or not going fast enough. I have noticed that as it gets colder and I'm beginning to wear last-years sweaters that some are too big so that's good. And my favorite jeans are a little lose as well... Baby steps.....
