Hey New Life, Congratulations on your band. We are neighboors, I live in Orange County California, send me a PM, maybe we can meet sometime, I would love to meet a local bandster and have a band buddy close by

Hi Angie, Welcome. I hope your journey is a huge success

I eat bread every once in awhile, it just cant be real doughy. I can do pasta and rice very slowly with tiny bites. I have very good restriction I think.... 2.5 cc's but I am extremely careful when I eat breads, rice, & pastas. Each person is different. Someone can have less fil lthen me and can not tolerate bread or some will have more fill then me and can tolerate bread. You learn as you go, what works for you and what doesn't

Lucerna is a very nice hotel, the satff is very friendly and they all speak perfect English, the food at the restaraunt is fabulous and they also have chicken broth & jello for after your surgery.

BigMom, some of the sypmtoms I was told by my Dr. os not having the ability to keep anything down without vomiting, however I know Leatha had her band slip and did not have that symptom. Chronic PBing can also aide in slippage. I would call your Dr. and let him know of your concerns. Maybe he can give you something to relieve the cough a bit

Hey Everyone I was just doing some thinking and I was wondering, Honestly how many of you here are very happy and very satisfied with your "original" band surgeon and are satisfied with his or hers abilities and aftercare? Whether you went to Mexico or not

Sounds like you are having a ball. Great NSV Penni!

This second fill kicking my butt...and I need to know what to do...???
La_madam replied to sensy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Sensy, it sounds like you area little too tight. If you have reflux and you are Pbing more then once a week you should call your doctor and have a little bit removed. Frequent Pbing is not good for the band and can result in slippage, having as little as .2 cc's can make a huge difference for relief but still keep good restriction. If it were me I would go in and have a little taken out. Good Luck to you -
I'm right there with you Paula on that one !

Thanks Everyone who has replied, it looks like I am not the only person here who is happy with their band surgeon It is so great to read just how many of you are truly happy with your surgeon , Mexico or U.S. Nykee I feel the same way about Dr. Ortiz...I'm so glad I'm not alone

Yes Alex there is some Protein in the Peanut Butter if that makes you feel better Not much but some, hey every little bit counts right? Good attitude you have though. It's not like that little chocolate feat will put back all you weight you have lost. Don't sweat the small stuff! We all have days like this Chocolate is my biggest weakness

Congrats Tanya, Welcome home!

Good Luck next week, I hope your surgery goes smoothly for you. I was nervous too going to Tj , I think all of us who went to TJ for our sdurgeries were a little nervous, it is quite normal. . I went to Dr. Ortiz and had a very possitive experience. I hope the same for you

Paul I have heard from others who had erosion do get another band after about 6 months wait, and other's don not. I have a firend fright now who had her bandfor a year and a half and had erosion she is now waiting 6 months and her doctor will give her another band. I think it depends on each individual and their circumstances. I know of another woman who had 2 bnands erode so she will never be able to get another one

Oh Paula Im so sorry you had such a bad night, sounds like it could befrom the tabasco, I can not eat spicy foods like I did pre band, gives me heartburn. How abouttrying those soup at hand made by Campbells if you want to do liquids, they are liquid and very filling. Thye worked well for me, give your esophagus a rest for a bit, it seems it had a work out yesterday. Glad to hear you are feeling better this morning, I hope it continues for you

I had my surgery on April 6th last year. Easter last year was on April 11th. I was at a big family gathering and I was on clear liwuids where all I ate was Jello and drank my juice. and everyone else ate like kings and queens This year I was with the same group of people at the same place and I am 85 lbs lighter, I ate whatever I wanted and had no fears of gaining wieght what a great feeling .The topic at the table was how far I had come in a year, You will get through the temptation of those huge meals, it is all worth it in the long run. You can do it P.S. Dont know about that Matzo, I have never eaten it
