This is one of the reasons that drinking with meals is a NO NO, and a vanilla shake OMG..you poor thing, I get that freaded feeling if I have a stuck bite and drink Water..cant even imagine the thick vanilla shake trying to make it's way through.

Productive burping OR I have heard it be called Painful Burping, it is whne that bite that is too big or not chewed wel lenough wont go down and sits there in your chest making you slime and your mouth water until the piece comes back up in a PB...

I just bought a Soy protein powder made by EAS at Wal-Mart it is 14 servings for just 6.98, I got the vanilla flavor and it is actually very good, I blend it with milk, ice and a bannana, I figured I was safe buying it at that price and only 14 servings in the event I did not like it, not much was invested in it I have never really been into the protein drink thing since I do not like to use my calories in liquid form, and never really found a protein powder I liked the taste of however there are days when I am very tight so I am using this as an alternative on those days which has been the last 2 days in the morning, the added pottassium with the bananna has allready made a diference in my leg cramps at night.

I went to Mexico and paid 8995.00 and had an awesome experience. I financed 2000 of the 8995.00 and just paid it off last month, some MX docs have financing plans available through US companies.

I smoked up until the minute I was wheeled in to surgery, my nutritionalist told me not to try and quit , that trying to lose weight and quit smoking at the same time woul dbe difficult, told me to do one at a time, so I did the weight loss , now I'm focusing on quitting once I reach my goal weight which I'm hoping wil lbesoon, however since home from the Vegas Bash where I smoked way too may ciggarettes, I have made a commitment to my self to cut back, I'm down to 5 cigarettes a day. I had the same fears of not being able to do the liquid diet post op also but I wil ltel lyou this, it was much easier then I had imagined, all of the swelling and gas I hadfrom surgery, I was not hungry for 2 weeks, you may be surprised, dont worry too much, you wil lget through it, we all have Good Luck

Very wise decision, I only weigh once a week if that, the scale should not dictate your success or failures you will have many other successes with your band, just think of all of the other good things that have happend to you since your band. The scale should not dictate your moods, be happy, you have been blessed with a great tool to help you in your wieght loss efforts, and be patient. Patience is key!

You are going to be amazed at how easy this surgery is..I was shopping all over town the day after my surgery and did not take anything for pain but liquid tylenol, the worst part is the gas ..so get up and walk as soon as you can once out of recovery..walk the halls of the hospital, it helped me so much! trust me, this is not the easy way out, we have to exercise, we have to eat right, we have to give up certain things like no drinking with meals, we have to eat very slow, chew our food until it is liquified, this is not easy, the band is just a tool to help you to eat less, we still have to do alot of the work, there are ways to eat around the band, we have to be mentally ready for this lifestlye change. Our heads have to do some work...this is not easy, the band just helps us and gives us an edge over other dieters..Dont let anyone tell you this is the easy way out, they have no idea until they are in our shoes. Best of luck to you, try and relax and let the day come, it will be over before you know it and you will be on your way to a happier & healthier new you

Best wishes tomorrow I wish you lots of success with your new band

Hi Dawne welcome back..how about joining the "Fall Weight Loss Challnege with all of us, OR Nana's holiday weight loss challenge...there are threads here on both of these so do a search at the top of the page and join in with us..Would love to have you..Nothing like a good ol challenge right before the Holidays to get us back on track. I can so relate to your post..I too have been at a halt from my own doing as well..this is why I joined both challenges. I need a kick in the ass. I started this Monday back to basics, so far so good...not perfect but a hell of alot better the nthis time last week...I'm making progress
-
For me it did not hurt at all, I just took liquid tylenol for pain, needed nothing stronger. I felt so good the next day I was shopping in downtown TJ walking all over the place. Walking is the best medicine for gas pains, as soon as you are out of recovery and not groggy get yourself up and walk the halls, get that gas moving, Walk Walk Walk. I took 1 week off fro mwork, could of went back sooner but since my job requires me to be around food all day long I was not usre mentally how I would handle it being only on liquids, physically I felt fine to go back to work sooner. Hospital stay should just be one night , not many od us stayed more then one night. Best of luck to you next week

Anyone have a slipped band and just live with it?
La_madam replied to faithinjesus's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have heard this too, that sometimes an unfilled band will help with slippage and the band will go back into place on it's ownwith no fluid...hey it's worth a shot right?
