Penni, I commend you for such a courageous post. Getting back to basics is the only thing that works for me, it seems as we get farther out into our journey with our bands we become complacent and some of our old habits creep back in atleast that is the case for me. The first step is realizing it which you have, now we need to act on it. I'm here to offer you all the support you need. You and I both know that journaling really does work. Seem when I journal, I make better food choices, it something about seeing it on paper that makes the difference for me..I started journaling again on Sept 12th, the Monday after the Vegas Bash and I have been committed to it ever since...when I journal my caloric intake is between 1200 - 1400 calories a day, without journaling Im breaking the 2000 calorie barrier .I have cut out all of my after dinner Snacks and just drink Water in my room so Im not near the kitchen I agree you have to start the excitement all over again..I got that excitement back this Monday when I hit the 100 lb mark, I seem to be refocused and dedicated to reaching my new goal of 15 more lbs. You can do this Penni, you know what to do..now just do it! You did not come this far to gain the weight back..we are so blessed to have such a wonderful tool to help us with this battle...use it to your advantage. Again, I'm here to offer you support any way I can..

I'm so glad you posted this, I have been following the 3 a day dairy for 3 weeks now and have lost 5 lbs. I truly believe it is what helped me break my several month long plateau. Thanks for sharing this with us...sounds you like you a very informative & enjoyable time -
I would be nervous too, but I'm sure your Dr. will be cautious in that regard, he knows the ramifications if he goes too tight. You will just have to do your part in making the fill level work for you until December which is not too far away. I'm very sorry to hear of your ordeal and I wish you the best.. ( hugs to you )

Get up of your butt and call me next time girlfriend! I will talk you out of it or get your mind off of it. Remember Sugar craves Sugar, once you start for the day you can not stop, same with Carbs. Get off the carbonation, switch to Crystal light..get yourself some 20 oz Water bottles and get yourself some Crystal light singles made for a 20 oz bottle drop in in your water bottle and drink that all day, it is sweet and at the same time you are drinking all of your water. This is how I get my water in and curb my craving for sugar. Yes lets see it Delarla! You can do this..it is now 5:00 pm..how are you doing?

I have the smaller band..I have 1.5 cc's in my band and have good restriction, the only thing I have heard from others who have the larger band is it take more fills to get restriction then with the smaller band. DO not know any other pros or cons with the larger band vs the smaller band.
-
Angie, this happens to me everytimne I schedule a fill..the minute i hang up the phone from making the appointment I get my restriction back.. I have a fill scheduled for Oct 31st and I'm thinking of canceling it, I lost 5 lbs last week and had a PB from hell last night. Its a strange phenomenon, other have had the same thing happen so your not alone
-
Mary, You poor thing So sorry to hear of your troubles..I sure hope you get some answers soon, dealing with this on aday to day basis is not good. Hang in there and I hope you feel better soon

I had a plateau for months, had another fill that did nothing..I think the biggest thing is patience. It will happen, you will break the plateau, I had a 5 lb loss in 1 week, amazing! Have not seen that much weight loss in 1 week in over a year. I started journaling my food intake on Sept 12th and started eating more dairy foods, 2 glasses of milk and 1 yogurt every day. I think both of those attributed to my weight loss. The journaling helps you to see where you can cut out, and all those little bites you take here and there throughout the day you do not think matter, they do. The studies say with 3 servings a day of dairy and a reduced calorie weight loss will help to lose wieght, so I tried it. It seemd to work for me. DOnt get discouraged, keep remembering all of the great NSV's you have had so far, do not let the scale dictate your success or failures with the band..NSV's are just as important as what thescale reads! Good Luck and hang in there..

Hooray Hooray! Just 3 days shy of my 18 month bandiversary I have lost 100 lbs Finally after months of no movement on the scale....this week I lost 5 lbs. I was amazed to see such a huge weight loss in just a week this far into my journey..I have changed a few things over the past month, I have been journaling my food intake, eating 3 servings of dairy a day and I'm under some stress with my husbands health problems and when Im stressed I have zero appetite..whatever the reason for such a huge loss..Im very happy I LOVE MY BAND!!

When my son was 9 I made him Jack from the Jack inthe box..I took a baseball pinanta..removed all the fringe, painted it white cut a hole for his head to fit in it..then made the hat out of a styrofoam cone painted it yellow, did the eyes and nose, had him wear a a white shirt with black tie and black pants..he won best costume that year at school
