Hi Katie..sorry to hear of your fall but happy to hear you are OK If it was me who took that fall 2 weeks post op. I would if anything call my surgeon to let him know what happened. I know the healing stage is important for things to set into place. It will put your mind at ease. I'm 6 months post op and am always thinking my band has slipped or my port has flipped without having a fall. I think that is normal. Maybe call your Dr. and see what he thinks. It can't hurt to call right? Good Luck ~

I smoke..I told them I smoked and they knew it pre op..still smoke and have had no problems Like ShellyJ I plan on quitting once I get to goal which is another 42 lbs

You bought another bike? I must of missed this post for the last week. You are one crazy chick! Love the bike..Love the colors.

Maybe you are not eating enough? Lots of people with the band still have the diet mentality..that if you barely eat you will lose weight. Not true..you still need atleast 1200-1500 calories a day . Are you eating atleast 1200-1500 a day? For me anything under 1000 calories a day I will not lose.

Soup is a liquid which the band can not restrict, Soup is wasted calories that pass right thorugh the band. Those were the words from my nutritionalist through my surgeons office.

Deceiving Doctors are still out there
La_madam replied to Penni60's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
WOW! This is horrible. Thanks for posting this Penni and making us all aware. I feel sad for those who thought the were getting an Inamed band. Being decieved by your doctor is just plain wrong! Is there anything these people can do for any kind of recourse? -
60 lbs since August 10th? WOW!!! Great Job!

Katie I do not know what grocery stores you have in your area..but Albertsons & Stater Bros. have made their own brand of flavored water it is very similiar to crystal light has no calories, no sugar and it comes in a big 1/2 liter bottle. Flavors like cherry limeade..strawberry kiwi, lemonade, peach citrus..I drink these often too when I need a change of tast from water.

What a great birthday present to yourself. Hope it all goes smoothly for you I had the same fears when I went for my first & second fill. I was so nervous that my band slipped or my port flipped but everything was just how it was supposed to be. Yours will be the same I'm sure. Don't worry Good Luck!

I have no problem with stroganoff either I think it is easier cuz of the sauce, but when I eat beef or chicken by itself I have problems I have learned to eat ech bithe with a bite of veggies it seems to helpp go down better. Or I use some kind of sauce to help lubricate it down.

Hi Frank I made sure I had everything I needed for when I got home. Water, gatorade, popsicles, chicken broth, Jello. Also I took with me to Mexico some Gas X for the gas pains. I did not have a problem with it until the way home ... I'm so glad I brought it. Also I took some adult strength liquid tylenol for pain and also needed it driving the bumpy roads to get out of TJ again I'm glad I had it. Best of Luck to you and your wife. I hope all goes well for you both. Please post when you are home and feeling up to it Good Luck ~

Hi katie Fill up a gallon container and make it your goal to drink it all in one day. It works well for me. When I pour each individual glass from the gallon I add some sliced lemon ( 2 wedges squeezed) and 1 pack of equal it tastes just like lemonade and It is easier to get my Water in for the day. If I finish my gallon I know then for sure I got all of my water in and then some. Water has helped me to be very successful in my weight loss.Give it a try! It may help

Veronica being filled too tight is not a good thing. You will do damage to you esphogus. You can risk band erosion. You will experience reflux which does damage. If you are filled to tight you will know it. You will PB on almost anything even water and you will experience horrible acid reflux/heartburn. Many women here have been filled too tight and had to have some of their fill removed and some have had to have all of their fill removed to heal their esphogous. You do not want to be filled too tight. You will not lose more weight if you are filled too tight, there is a difference between too tight and just right. Be safe with this..
