  1. I don't understand why so much anger. If someone thought I was being rude when I wasnt would hurt my feelings. Maybe if you see a post you think you have seen posted before just move on. Just because anyone here has had the band for an extended amount of time doesnt make them an authority. Life is to short. Stop being s bully!

  2. I have to agree that some people on here are very rude and act like you are stupid for asking. So what if someone ask the same question. I see some of the same people who post rude comments to several people so its not that they are having a bad day. They are just RUDE. There is enough anger and hate in this world. Especially the last few weeks. This should be a place we can come for for support. Didnt your mother teach you if you cant say something nice don't say it at all?

  3. I'm 3 1/2 months post-op and still deal with Constipation. I seem to only 'go' every 3 - 4 days' date=' and lately it's only if I take senokot (something like that). I'm going to buy some magnisium citrate & try a tspn or so to see how that helps. I take Fiber pills but think I should add benefiber or miralax to my daily diet

Appreciate the feedback everyone offers, even for these embarassing topics we have to talk about.[/quote']

It will probably take more than a tspn it recommends the whole bottle if I remember correctly. Good luck:)

  4. Omg!! Soo glad I have this forum to look back at. Seriously. Its a life saver. I am having the worst Constipation of my life! I was banded on Nov. 29th and I am just now getting to the point where my incision don't hurt and the uncomfortableness is tolerable Anyway. So how long does it take for the magnesium citrate stuff to work and is it powder? Or pills?

It took the magnesium citrate about an hour. Be close to a bathroom because u will go. It was the only thing that made me go. You get it any drug store it comes in a glass bottle in different flavors. It taste bad but its worth it.

  5. I thought during the 2 week pre op it was the longest 2 weeks of my life. Lol. The weekends were the worst. But you will survive and you will be so proud of yourself. After I had my surgery my dr had given me a binder with each week what to eat and not eat. Every week when I would get to the next week and was like I am kicking this. I am now a little over 2 months out I've lost 45 pounds and am eating normal. I thought in the beginning i would not make it this far some days. Good luck!

  6. I do use this site to get information and to ask questions but I dont rely on it completely. I think and hope people are asking questions just to see what others think or fill. I see some people on here asking questions when their drs office is closed and people acting so rude to them for asking. I think they are just wanting some reassurance until the office opens.

  7. I cant say enough good things about my dr and his staff. Everyone there is great. I see my dr once a month and if I need a fill between then the nurse does those on certain days and I can go see her. Anytime I have a question I can usually talk with a nurse right then. Especially in the beginning when I was nauseated alot. I am so glad I went with this group and would. I saw my Dr last Thursday and he acted so proud of my weight loss. He shook my hand and told me I was loosing beautifully. I have several friends who are nurses at the hospital where he practices and they love him. That says a lot when the nurse sees the real him and love him. I couldnt get or ask for a better dr.
