16 Days Post Op, Down 20 Lbs

I'm 5 weeks post op and eating about 600-700 cal a day too. The only difference between mushy and soft food phase is that with the soft foods you mush it up in your mouth instead of the blender. The only thing you need to worry about though is not putting stress on your band by not chewing your food well.

    My Fitness Pal!

It's up to the person to make their diary public. Then in the news feed after they finish the diary for the day it posts that so-and-so finished their food diary and you can click on that to view the diary. Hope that helps.

    Cannot Sleep

That horrific pain in the left shoulder is the tube rubbing against the diaphragm. My dr gave me gelcap Advil and heating pads. It goes away eventually but I hurts like heck while it lasts. See thread " shoulder pain-revealed" for more info.

    Sils Lapband

The one big one was the only one that bothers so I can't imagine it being much easier that regular laparoscopic surgery. Interesting though.

    Post Op November Bansters

It's not permanent. But good god is it ever painful! With some getting a fill helps. With others it's so bad they've had it removed.( not the norm though). Mine stopped hurting before my first fill

  8. http://youtu.be/pZyTmoteUl0 GhrelinBGone has a video about what she eats for chocolate fix. She says that she does not allow milk chocolate into her mouth because its a trigger food. It's about finding what you can't handle and avoiding it completely. She is a success story so she obviously has some insight through experience.

    Post Op November Bansters

Hello! I'm an October bandster. Just wanted to pop in and tell you all that you are doing great. Hang in there because it gets easier. I was one that had it pretty easy. Constipation from anesthesia fixed with suppository. Left shoulder pain is from tube hitting nerve on diaphragm. Heating pads help. Call dr for gelcap Advil if needed. All the health problems you are facing along with surgery is just an indicator how desperately your body needed this lifeline. Stay positive! It is well worth it. I don't joke around with foods for my own satisfaction. During each food phase I only ate high quality foods. Cooked veggies and meats, puréed or mushed. Even if you feel great your body is healing so be careful not to overdo it from excitement. I'm 5 weeks post op and I'm down 32.5 lbs with another 60 to go. Well wishes to you all.

    Fitbit

Mine also lives on my bra. When I go walking I use runkeeper app to track miles using GPS. Fitbit is spot on with the GPS. I rarely use the armband to track my sleep because I clip it to my jammies. It also is accurate. Crazy how it works but it is amazing!!

    Pumpkin Mousse

I've made this before but added the whipped cream as a topping. I also added 2 scoop of vanilla protein. Tasted just like pumpkin pie! SOOO good!
  13. Everything that needed to be said has been already said so I'm just gonna add this: I saw my friend drop a lot of weight fairly quick so I asked her what she was doing. She said TWO YEARS AGO she got banded and lost 40lbs between preop and post surgery then NOTHING for almost two years. Then it all started working for her. She kept working with her team until it all clicked. Don't give up, don't miss your appointments, speak frankly with your team. And follow the advise listed above in increments you feel comfortable with. Hugs to you!
  14. Depending on where you live the Water is really hard and it's just harder to consume. Some bottled water tastes like crap! That is why some of us have a hard time with water. I hate almost all crystal lites and mios and all flavored drinks because I'm not a sweets fan. I slice cucumber in a beautiful pitcher of filtered ice water so I feel like I'm at a spa. It goes down smoother. But I also drink a lot of hot herbal tea.

    Port Pain

My question is: could it be muscle pain/ soreness from working out? Did it happen suddenly after a certain movement? Is it sharp pain? You may have overdone it but I'm with Sandy, call your doctor!

    October 2012 Bandsters

Pineapple juice helps because of the enzymes in pineapple and the acid of course. Walking around while moving arms and staying calm helps.
