So shocking. Good thing this person doesn't know where you live. This type of anger ends in mass shooting in schools etc... When is enough enough?

I did not " imply" anything. Mine was a sincere question. Again sorry I took the time to answer you. Lesson learned!

That is the soft food stage where you teach your teeth. The mushy stage is blended foods. This stage doesn't last too long for most of us but it is the gradual between full liquids and soft food phase. Clear liquid Full liquid Mushy Soft Regular In that order. Did you maybe miss that stage or forget that you did it? Everyone's dr is different so maybe you didn't have that one. My mushy stage only lasted 8 days.

Hello! Anyone interested in running/walking a 10k virtually? I need the motivation so I was planning a 10k on December 15 or 16th. We all walk/run 10k (6.2 miles) on either the 15th or 16th of December and we post our stats here. You can run it in the gym/home on a treadmill or on the streets. You can map out your course ahead of time using runkeeper.com if you decide to take your bad @?s to the streets. Pre-op 275.9lbs -surgery 10/5 265.0lbs -11/11/12 241.8lbs

Good morning all! This is the weekend for the 10k. I hope those who signed up can still do so. As added motivation I am running my 10k in honor of the victims of yesterday's tragic shooting. Please post your results here so we can all Celebrate together. Also any thoughts you had about the experience would be great. Miles/km completed: Time: Date: How you felt at the finish: Happy run/walk everyone Bee strong!

Sugar free Popsicles saved me during this phase. I too was so parched but really even a ton of water wouldn't have fixed it. -

New to Forum - LB next Friday!
MiniMi replied to tarajill's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congrats on your new journey! I was banded 10/5/12 I've lost 45 lbs since sept 28. I'm 5'7 and started out at 275.6.. Worse part by far is the gas they pump in you abdomin during surgery. Is a very uncomfortable feeling during recovery and lasts a few days. Heating pads and walking help so be prepared! GasX helps for the intestinal gases. Keep us posted! -
Fact is, the ones who have success do know how it is at the beginning. They have been where we are now. So why would we not take their advise? If they see what is working for them is very different that what is NOT working for us then why cant they say so? I feel like we should be following in the footsteps of the trailblazers and we should not be criticizing them because we are not being told what we want to hear. They spend their time on here typing away, pleading, begging, even kicking butt, of those of us who do not want to listen or follow doctors orders. It is our choice to listen or not. However, if we do happen to put away our pride, then maybe, just maybe, we will be successful too. Just a thought!! Bee Merry!

Awe, I'm sorry! I know first hand it is hard. Everyone here means well, just glean what you can from what is being said. I am a newbie too, I also ran the NWM 2011 then hurt my back. SOB when you're body is used to burning a lot of calories with running as soon as you stop it is like peddling backwards downhill! Self-control would only be called out by the "old timers" if you are sabotaging your efforts by eating junk foods. What you are doing will pay off, for sure. Believe me you see it all on this forum! Banded life is not as hard as not being able to tie your shoes, fit in an airplane seat, being looked at funny because of your weight, or dying from obesity. (that was meant as a pep talk) Hang in there. We are all here for you! Bee Well!

Don't be discouraged. Doctors are not there to be mad they are there to help you make it work. Your success is a walking business card for them you know!! I am fairly new and I have lost very well over the past 2 months. BUT I haven't lost any this week so far and I could care less. Even if its a month or two or three I could care less. I am doing what I can do to make a healthy me. Im not eating ice cream and chips late at night. I don't have the 2 for $3 deal at McDonalds for bfast anymore. Took me years to put on all this fat and I dont care how long it takes to lose it. Oh and btw Im freaking hungry!! don't care. I am encouraging you to not beat yourself up so much and relax, you're in it for the long haul!

I feel for you. really I do!! I just would like to tell you what I tell myself when I have "that feeling" that your post seems to have. What else do you have to lose? You are eating healthier, less, exercising more, lost 27lbs. Quiet your inner voice and relax. The band is a proven successful tool to a lifestyle change. You have done great in changing the lifestyle. Now get out of your own way and let the band do it's job, in due time of course. What you are risking with your expectations and your current mindset? You already know the answer. Past behavior is the best way to predict future behavior. So, like me, you have probably gone on countless diets before and felt the same way as you do now and you GAVE UP! The mindset has to change or the pattern will repeat itself. You are a success story in progress! Just know that I am talking to you as if i were talking to myself because I have been there, done that, worn every t-shirt (men's sizes only) Head up, shoulders back, and for goodness sake, quiet that voice inside! Bee well! -

You look great! -
I LOVE Jeff Galloway. He has great apps and teaches you how to run injury free. His app also comes with his voice piping in and giving you good tips and advise. I love it!

October 2012 Bandsters
MiniMi replied to NYTeacher's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That was my fear too. I told the PA that my wl is strictly diet and exercise and that I would appreciate getting to the green zone.
