  2. I blended spinach then I layered it with spaghetti sauce and ricotta cheese and heated it in the microwave. It's like lasagne filling I also substituted canned pumpkin for the spinach and added nutmeg salt and pepper. Tastes like pumpkin ravioli s. And I added favor free Protein powder from unjury ( after it came out of the microwave though)

    I have the realize band also. I got to chose. I was banded 10/5/12. I've had great results so far.
  4. After day 4 it gets easier. Looking back I can't believe i made it through. So glad I did though. I'm 4 1/2 months out and I'm 62 lbs down. Boo yah! You can do it. This is the beginning to your success story!

  7. I am sure none of these comments are helping. An identity crisis is very difficult to deal with. Connecting the inner you with the outer you is the most difficult part of it all. I would suggest therapy. You would be surprised how much a few sessions can help. By the way, I was like DDDAAAAAAMMMMNNNNN! When I saw your pic!

    Oh my gosh the pain

    Ouch. When I've been in this situation I have tried to eat different things and chew to different consistencies. Problem was, I would not wait for my band to calm down in between times. Take 6 hrs off and eat yogurt and Protein shakes. Water your applesauce down and then try again. If it continues then call the dr. I actual enjoy the restriction I feel the first few weeks after a fill. ( once I figured out how to eat that is) Take our words into consideration but you know yourself the best. Call your dr if it feels wrong!

  10. I agree with you about the salt but I am now choosing the least of the two evils. I need out of the kitchen... For now.
  11. I buy Tyson frozen grilled chicken slices, measure out 3 oz baggies. I do the same with shrimp. I then do the same with frozen spinach, broccoli, and butternut squash. I layer veggie, Protein, tbs Greek yogurt and salsa. I microwave veggie first add salt top with chicken and nuke again then top with salsa and yogurt. I have also added black Beans in the past but not usually. I have all of these baggies already measured out so its as simple as grabbing them and nuking them. For a treat and I mean rarely, I have the little tub of Lloyd's BBQ pulled pork (150 cal) over butternut squash. I do the same concept for Breakfast ideas: quinoa or cous cous in a tupperware bowl topped with sautéed mushrooms, topped with scrambled egg whites topped with turkey sausage topped with ff cheese. I have them all set for the week. It's all about grab and go and staying out of the kitchen for me. I eat about 850 cal a day 70 gr protein a day nd have lost consistently for 4 months now (62 lbs)

    Awesome work everyone. I was banded 10/5 down 62 lbs. I would have never though I would lose so much so quickly. On track but sometimes it is hard. I taking TRX classes 4 days a week, all about core strengthening.

    running usually doesn't "burn" very many calories but the results in wl and size is like no other. Keep up the good work.

  16. The cold can make us want to stay in bed. WE ALL KNOW, we need to keep moving. What better way than a movement challenge. I am starting a January challenge to walk/run 100 miles in January (60k) Log in your miles each Saturday of January. For those of you wondering, that means TOMORROW it starts.. Who can hear the Rocky theme song in their ears right now? If not, what song will be your January motivation? Jump in all!
