  1. I've been struggling to get to the green zone because I've never really felt restriction - until 2 months ago when I locked up and had to get some taken out (during that time I couldn't even swallow my own spit...I know gross). Since then I've learned the errors of my ways so to speak and had two more fills, my last fill on 8/5/13. For the first time I felt restriction, something that's new to me however on Saturday I got stuck and threw up. I went on liquids for 2 days and slowly started mushies on this Tuesday but I can only take little sips of water and have to wait till those go down and the little food I've eaten is only like 2 or 3 bites of my meal and then if I try anything more than that I feel close to being stuck and on the edge of throwing up. Also for the past 3 days I've had heartburn, primarily at night. Since I've never really felt good restriction is this what it feels like? Are you only able to take baby sips of water? Only able to eat maybe 3 bites of food? I've lost about 6 pounds since my fill on 8/5/13 which is my first real success and I'm scared to have some taken out. Is this normal, am I in the green zone or red zone?
  2. I had my surgery August 31, 2012 and I'm started to worry that I did all this for nothing. I've lost more on the pre-op diet (18 pounds) than I've lost since the surgery. Since the surgery I've only around 7 pounds. And I actually gained 3 pounds back! I know I have a problem with my portion control, but I'm ALWAYS hungry. I'm currently at 6cc's and I can't even really tell that I've had the surgery done. I've never gotten anything stuck or felt like anything is stuck.....is this normal? At what point will I fill a difference when I eat? Everyone tells me to watch my portions, but honestly if I could do that I would't have had to have the surgery. I just thought once I had the surgery I wouldn't be able to over eat causing me to loose weight but that simply isn't happening. I feel really dissappointed in myself and totally embarrassed. At what point will I feel restriction or a real difference? Help!!
  3. Thanks I'll use this as a guide. Hopefully I can get on track
  4. Thanks for the advice. I guess I'm just going about this all wrong. I thought that the with the band I would automatically get fuller quicker but as I'm finding out thats not the case. Can you give me an idea of what you normally eat?
  5. Hi there, I had my surgery on August 31,2012 and I did really good on the pre-op diet and and the post-op diet up until the 4th post-op week when I could eat solid foods. To be real honest I had a free-for-all and ate pretty much anything I wanted and then I would feel miserable because I was so full. I did notice that I got full a little quicker than normal but I still ate a pretty large amount. In my warped mind I thought I would (excuse my graphicness) vomit if I over ate but I never did. Everyone that I knew that had the surgery told me that if I overate my body bascially wouldn't let me, which evidently is not the case for me. I haven't had my first fill-thats not till next week but now I'm hearing that I've basically ruined my lap-band surgery because I stretched out the new stomach? Is this true? Its been a week since I fell off the wagon but I'm devasted....I've now starting weighing my food and eating right but ever since I had the surgery theres never really been a time when I felt full even when I was doing the right things....I'm always thinking of food and my stomach growls, maybe its mental but I'm really struggling here. I just hope I haven't ruined everything because of my week binge.
