I had a very hard time with reheated proteins for awhile... I still don't know why it stopped, I find a sauce of some sort helped. Also, being really aware of chewing and using your saliva to moisten helped a lot. Hang in!

I tell my fiancé all the time, I'm such a foodie, I think I'll always have that short fat girl inside me (who by the way as quite endearing and I think of her fondly... Glad I'm stronger now, but that little fat girl made the choice to change her life... Pretty impressive.)

I think you should def call ur surgeon. The walking is good, seeing as its the only thing that helps that pesky gas after surgery. I would stay on liquids until I speak to my doctor.

I don't know, I take a lot of vitamins and my blood tests didn't show any deficiency's except some slight anemia, which I've always had and have been taking iron for it. I know I shouldn't be eatin dairy, I'm allergic/intolerant to it and for some reason I crave it! Especially chocolate. Well yesterday I ate roughly the same amount of calories (around 2000/2100) but just eliminated all dairy. It's an inflammatory food, so I wonder how much I've gained is really swelling. I'm down 2 pounds, and without dieting, eating when I'm hungry, light activity and just no dairy. I'm hoping I can keep this up. -

I truly find myself hungry all day. Before I became pregnant (3rd child btw!) I had maintained for almost 2 years my goal weight! And food cravings were never an issue. I only ate when I needed to and if I found myself craving something I shouldn't I could usually distract myself and exercise always helped keep those cravings at bay. But now, I'm hungry before during and after working out lol. I do need to chill out, I'm stressing it while loving my tummy... I'm just conflicted. I can't find a happy medium. Even eating the right foods I still just want to keep eating! -

Thanks. Yes I just get caught up. Now right now it starts, late afternoon to bedtime I become insatiable, and I always start my day with a mic breakfast and a wholesome midmorning snack, a good lunch and then an afternoon snack... But then it just triggers something after lunch, I have that snack and I'm still hungry. I try to ignore it, I work out I clean I walk I drink water, still can not stop thinking about food. -

I've promised myself no more dairy. I'm intolerant to casein, so I shouldn't be eating it anyway. Today I've recommitted. I'll snack on nuts, berries and granola like I did when I was actively losing. I'll drink my fortified soy milk for calcium and at least one salad a day. But no more cheese or butter or chocolates. I gotta stop this. I look forward to after pregnancy and getting into my hot yoga and running again. Warrior dash.. This is the first year since I started my journey I won't be participating. I will keep my water bottle near. Thank you ladies... It is so hard to watch the scale go the other way again. -
So I joined up here on wed. For about a week or so I had been waking up w pain deep down my throat. The pain didn't allow for sleep. I haven't been x-ray'd yet but I have put myself on a full liquid diet. No pain since. A little background, I was banded in nov. 2010. I reached my goal in Jan 2012. 140 pounds total loss. I recently became lazy and I guess felt invisible and fell off the wagon, binging at night. I'm ashamed and embarrassed and now nervous I caused some serious damage. In august I had an episode. For a few days I felt stuck everytime I ate. I had a short stint of drinking while eating when I was on vacation. I feel terrible. I should know better. My band was a gift and I'm so scared I ruined it...

I have been having pain underneath my banded area. Most severe instances waking me in the middle of the night. Gas pain and painful deep inhalation. My worst fear is erosion, obviously. I've been at goal for about a year now. After reading about it, it sounds gallbladder related. I have very little restriction right now as my doc took my last fill out. My barium xray showed no blockage, but just in case it was too tight we did an unfill and now I'm scheduled to see a gastroenterologist to rule out erosion or anything esophagous related. Pain/ache upon deep inhalation is still present. Anyone ever go through this? What has been your experiences with gallbladder issues? Insight would be comforting right now.

How Exactly Did You Lose 50 Plus Pounds
asquill17 replied to Wgbem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost 140 by my first band anniversary. I tracked calories and worked out. 1000 when I was losing, today I aim for 1700 to maintain. I combined cardio, hot yoga (HUGE calorie burner! I burned 935 calories a session!) and weight training w floor exercises. And i always tried to replace what i burned since the calories in calories out rule boosts metabolism. I fluctuate between 127 and 133 pounds now. -
I wanted to keep up with my kids and be a positive influence on them. Since being banded my children have benefitted by doing things I never would have done before! Even just playing on the swingset without getting winded after 5 minutes! We're campers, beach goers and we DANCE everyday!!! That was my goal! Now my goal is to maintain and not fall off the wagon.

GI scope showed no slip or erosion!!!! We're Going to now test the gallbladder and check fro stones! So thrilled it's not my band!!!
-
GI scope clear!!! It's not may band, in fact they said my band looks great! We're now ruling out gall stones and gallbladder.
-
Update! GI Scope went very well!! No erosion or slippage! We're gonna rule out gallbladder now so happy it's not my band!!

I have my scope scheduled for Wednesday.. But now living on long island I'm dealing with the aftermath of sandy.. No gas and the clinic is an hour away. I'm hoping I can still make the appointment... But there's this stupid gas, ice shortage and many of us are still w/o power (we're one of the few lucky ones) so I'll update soon...

I'm very nervous about erosion! I have a consult with a gastro doc to talk about a scope test. I'm def mentioning the HIDA test! Thank you!

Yes I participated in warrior dash the past 2 years!
-
And I understand rapid weight loss. I was down 125 in the first 12 months.
-
I'm going for a consult tomorrow I feel my gall bladder is giving me problems... What do your "attacks" feel like?
-
I would recommend counting or tracking your calories.. Don't forget the calories you might drink. Myfitnesspal is perfect for this. See if that doesn't help! I would aim for 1000-1200 calories a day with a sedentary lifestyle.

Eggs can be difficult to get to "mush" state. I'm surprised ur doc wanted u to eat normally after your fill. Fills can swell your stoma for 24-48 hours which is why my doc says liquids for 24 hours, then soft Then back to solids. If I try to eat solids after a fill I have issues keeping it down as well. Also, 2 scrambled eggs might be too much for you to handle!
