YES! You are not alone. My doc doesn't believe in "diets" he says they will never work. It's a new life style we have to strive for because when the diets over the weight comes back and so far he's right I have tried weight watchers, medical weight loss, nutrisystem spend thousands of dollars and I am still over weight. I have gained all I lost. I have to learn how to eat, there is no end date. Hang in there

Do you have any siblings? Sounds like you might be an only child. When my mom is sick I really don't want anyone else helping or making decisions I have to be there because she is always there for me. I have been in and out of the hospital a lot and she's there taking me to the doc cleaning up puke, taking care of my daughter whatever. So when she is down I'm right there ALWAYS. It's tough. I would check to see how long your approval is good for and see what the docs think about mom, how long will she be in the hospital, physical theraphy etc. It will work out for you guys!! I'm so glad she's okay now she just has to get better!! Best Wishes

I think you will be fine! I have high blood pressure and have been seeing a cardiologist for 4 years so it was easy for me. I discuss everything with him, I trust him and his opinion. NO WORRIES

I have a cousin that got the sleeve. She has lost 80 pounds and that is amazing... she is still extremely overweight. My doc feels the RNY is best for me and I trust him. he helped me decide after lap band failure. Good Luck!

Well I have to say it really helps to hear I'm not alone. The band and I didn't mesh either. My weight has gone up and down and as I type this I am the same weight I was before the band. My fingers and toes are crossed for us all 2nd time has to be a charm. Lots of luck (HUGS)

Try to call back, ask for a manager if neccessary. Document names and if necessary put your concerns in a letter and write to the attention of the CEO, COO etc. (E Mails are better...You WILL get a answer. OR see if there is a complant line

Do your research, Ask tons of questions make sure you pick whatever you will be most successful with. Take your time, this is huge, we all want success.

I currently have a band and I'm trying to get a revision to the bypass. The band was not the right choice for me. I would listen to the doc. It sucks to go thru the pain of the surgery for nothing, now I have to do it again. I have faith the bypass will be the right thing for me. Best Wishes
