The same thing happened to me... I fing myself so focused on sugar I forget about the fat content in regular food (not fried) I had to leave the party in a hurry the pain was so horrible. I'm learning as I go, but I hate when things like that happen. I felt better last night I didn't eat anything else I drank 4 glasses of Water (trying to wash it away) and I was ok Hope u get better really soon!

Whoa! Sorry that happened. I'm real careful about what I eat at work (just in case). I will drink protein or eat soup or salad. That's all. Like u I would b embarrassed and don't want to get sick. Best Wishes!

I know how u feel. Get into the doc ASAP the EKG is quick and so r the labs. He can write the letter while u are there and attach the EKG. Labs should take less than a week. Don't give up its just a hurdle u have have to jump over, stay in this thing! Best Wishes!!

I totally respect your decision, it's yours to make. This is major surgery and was not my first choice. I didn't want my organs altered. That's how GOD made me! I tried the lapband first and had tons of problems with it. Two years later I wanted the lap band out and got the revision to the RNY. I had to be okay with it in my time. It was a lot of pain and adjustments for me at first, BUT now I am so happy! That's my story, it doesn't mean u have to do this too to reach happiness... I wish u the best!

Are u chewing enough? Not eating too fast? I did that on eggs I threw up for hours it was horrible lesson learned!

I pass on lunch a lot too. When I go I eat soup. I just say I have cut out a lot of things (fried, sugar, bread etc) so I only eat certain things. Don't feel uncomfortable u can't control what people think of u, when u start losing they may think its because of a eating disorder focus on you, pack your lunch and forget about the rest. I need some of that prayer too, it's hard some days but I have to stay focused...eye on the prize!

I'm done with alcohol. After surgery doc found a ulcer. I don't want any issues. I went to a bar/grill last weekend. I had a crystal light drink enhancer in my purse ordered water in a glass gave it a shot of enhancer for color. Lol. I had fun, felt great the weird part was when the guys wanted to buy me a drink... I had to say I want a water. Lol

Ladies when in doubt call the doc, especially if its bruised, painfully, oozing etc. I had the same thing happen I took pics of my incision and e mailed them to my doc. I felt so much better when he said its ok, but he made me come in just to b sure. U don't want to get infections and I have read of people having to get them re-opened not sure why... Just check better safe than sorry. Best Wishes Ladies

But when u cross over to the other side.... I can't explain the happiness I feel. I love seeing the changes on my body. I went shopping yesterday I always wanted to b able to shop at old navy in the regular women's area, not plus. I bought 13 summer dresses yesterday (lol) I went a little crazy with the Visa, BUT I got XL dresses. It feels amazing. It's so worth it and I was in so much pain after surgery, it's still worth it! This feeling is PRICELESS

Happy to hear from u!!! Welcome! That is my biggest fear will I be able to keep the weight off after the first year. I feel like I eat too much now, but I don't eat anywhere near what I ate pre-op, it's just nerves! I want to be successful so bad! The changes my body is making is shocking and awesome and I don't want to loose this "honeymoon" feeling. Thank u for joining us!!! (HUGS)

I would also ask, no question is off limits. We put our lives in their hands. I ask my surgeon about everything and he was upfront with me. I trust him... He did great with me no issues at all but we had discussed them all prior. Nobody is perfect doc will watch the patients closely the first 30 days.
